Linda Moss is usually accurate.  I think it is true and looks like December he will leave.  This stinks!   I did ask on the blog why wouldn't QVC announce this first?  If I get a response, I will let  you know.

How did this blogger know when it was never announced?

@San Antonio Gal

I just read the blog and she even has specifics that he's retiring in December.

Same, will wait till QVC or Rick announces then I'll believe it. Smiley Happy

As others have stated, I won't believe it until I hear it from Rick himself.  Although I wouldn't be overly surprised.  Disappointed yes, because he's one of the few that still keeps me watching.  But not surprised.

But I would bet he wouldn't retire without having some other form of employment lined up first.

@geezerette  -  I so agree with you.  If he retires, he'll be back 2 weeks later working as a brand rep.  He may pull a Mary Beth and have more than one side job.

I don't see Rick not working in some capacity.

If he is retiring in December, it's possible that they (both Rick and QVC) think it's a little early to announce.  And it's possible Rick may not want a lot of fanfare for months, or at all.

But, if true, I'm sure it's already in the works and known by some at QVC, so it wouldn't be out of the question for some Q employee(s) to have spilled the beans to a blogger.

Just wondering if these retirement rumors are because of the bankruptsy dilema at QVC. I still think there will major things happening down the road and maybe these hosts are thinking or know-- that it would be better to go now and get what you have coming, than to wait for the other shoe to drop and get far less. Me? if I were a host of many years--I'd sure be talking to my financial people and act BEFORE--that other shoe get hucked in my direction!!!

Given Q's many issues, I don't blame him or anyone for retiring, finding a job elsewhere, etc.

I'd want to get out while my retirement funds are still there.

Please do.

I retired in 2022 and I am so glad that I did. Our company went bankrupt shortly after I left.  I was the last employee that received money by cashing in my company stock.

Even if Rick retires he will probably come back as a vendor representative like so many other "retired" hosts.  He might represent Corky's or Rastellis.

I guess I wouldn't be that surprised if it is true. I am very surprised that David Venable is still there to be honest...I thought he would retire as well.....
