Was catching up on HOME SHOPPING blog by LINDA MOSS and she announced Rick's upcoming retirement.

He is 65 and well deserved. I don't watch QVC often so

I shouldn't be surprised. Is this common knowledge?

He has not said so and I believe QVC would be talking about it and rightfully making a big deal out of it. Just like when MBR retired from hosting duties.  Unless it is from the horse's mouth, I take it with a grain of salt.

In my opinion only, for me, I do not usually trust bloggers regarding gossip. I always wonder who the "source" is. That includes any of the Housewives bloggers, and other sites similar.

I wouldn't even leave the thread up here.  No substantiated source, so it's merely gossip by that blogger.  Rick and/or QVC should be the ones to make that announcement, if there is one.

Given Q's many issues, I don't blame him or anyone for retiring, finding a job elsewhere, etc.

I'd want to get out while my retirement funds are still there.

He has increasingly "joked" about retirement during his presentations.

Nothing official of course,  but I wouldn't be surprised at all.  One of his joking asides may have been taken as fact.  I definitely believe it.

I see no harm in a little speculation.   It happens every day on the forums.
