Last Tuesday 01.21.14 I sent 2 returns - one to HSN and one to QVC. HSN has received my return and the credits are already posted to my card. My return to QVC is still "in transit". I will eventually get credit for what I sent back but I seriously wonder how it can take so long for this "delivery service" they use to get a small package from the Kansas City area to PA. Oh well, just venting my frustration. I am not really a huge fan of HSN. I find some of their policies to be harsh and not as flexible as QVC but I really feel that QVC delays returns deliberately to keep from refunding dollars as long as possible. Once they acknowlege receipt of my return it will probably be another 2-3 weeks for the refund to process. I know they are busy etc but they should be staffed for the rush of returned merchandise this time of year. I return very little but find returning anything to QVC very slow and agonizing.

I've always found both shipping times and return times, for both shopping channels, to be just about the same. Usually right around a week to receive an ordered item, and about that time, for a credit. How long it takes my bank to post the credit to my account is another story; they can be slow, but, that has nothing to do with the merchant. That's the bank.
My on line shopping has decreased dramatically, in the last few years. Not really a problem with the on line retailers, it's just, for me, that I've found I can usually get what I'm looking for locally, and it's so much easier.

Well I have a story for you.
Two weeks BEFORE Christmas QVC sent me two defective lazyboy chairs. I called right away to have them returned.
It wasn't until JANUARY 13 that they came to pick them up, even though I begged to have them taken away before Christma because I needed the room for the holidays. They were totally unresponsive about that.
I STILL HAVE NO INDICATION IN MY ORDER STATUS THAT THE CHAIRS WERE PICKED UP.
I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN CREDITED THE $1100+ ON MY CREDIT CARD!
I wrote them about it and they have done NOTHING. - Bird (venting, complaining)
and P.S. ITA about HSN returns. Amazing!

geez, Bird, what lousy luck getting two bad chairs...then the long wait for your money back..would a call to Q Corporate be of any help to you???

Lawyer, no lol! The cost for one hour's work would eat the cost of the chairs. I don't mean to hijack the original post, but I'm just a bit frustrated. I wrote a review on the chairs we rec'd. We even went to a LZB store to check out how they should have been assembled, to make sure we were not making a mistake. The backs slide on to the base. The base has two female channels, the back has two male channels. The females are each made of two plates with a spacer in the middle. Whoever was working on the left sides of that batch of chairs put that spacer on the outside of the channels, then crammed and bent them together. They are really cheaply made chairs, and we already have 5 so we know a little about them. Qz will come through with the refund, but it's frustrating. It's not CS (I think they are close to excellent) but it's their system, which is flawed when something ships from a warehouse that is not Qz's.
Interestingly, the hosts repeatedly said that Qz's warehouse was full and they had to make room, so they were moving them out! Well, NOT. They shipped directly from LZB, with a different shipping label stuck on the box. Not from a Qz warehouse. - Bird

I have had no problems with my two recent returns. Received credit for both within a week or so of their return.
