I was watching Pat Dementri yesterday and she made a statement about QVC returning to their core values of Quality, Value, Convenience. Apparently, the powers that be may have realized there's a problem.

Re: Returning to Core Values

I'll believe it when I see it.  It'll take a lot more than words to get there.

They will need to

  • require current brands to up their game
  • develop a wider range of products lines
  • re-train hosts to behave like civilized but enjoyable adults
  • competitive prices
  • reduced to no shipping and return fees

and soooooo much more.

Sounds like Marketing might see an issue, but I am not sure top execs do. So, like many other big businesses, they will tell people what they want to hear and give them the messaging they have been missing and then will still fall short. Must be the new "buzz words" for January of 2026. Next month it will be different and so on.

Home shopping is not the novelity it was when it first began. In todays world the internet has "home shopping" w/out all the dancin' and prancin'. Returns are so MUCH easier w/other sites. It's not the "core" values, but the "new"values that the Q has to "return" to.

If you have time to watch all the dancin' and prancin' more power to you. But a lot of us do not or do not want to. And if you have the time, etc. why are you not spending more money?

I keep on dancin'

A lot less sillyness, dancing, singing, the crazy and loud Friday night nonsense.

Pat and Jayne should do more shows together, maybe once a week.

Maybe QVC needs a pet? Remember when they had the Golden on way back

with Dan Hughes, Murphy I think, what a beauty.Heart

@threecees  I remember Murphy, especially his paw print on my QVC Christmas card. All of the hosts signed it and it wasn't complete without Murphy's "signature."

@threecees I love this pet idea, I never saw Murphy but I think it is sweet.

I will say, when I first joined these boards every other post was about how annoying Pat and Jayne were together on their regular show. I never watched them so I never commented, but I can tell you people were not fans. BUT considering what you have as options now, and being a little older and wiser, folks may be more receptive to them having more regular standing shows.

Toning down the overall antics in general would be a great start. The world is frenetic enough these days and bringing back a little more calming and controlled presentation could be appreciated.  This is not to say people cannot have fun and laugh and be a little silly, but the hard sell with always talking over each other are very easy to dial back immediately. Bring back civility and professionalism because I for one, I am missing it these days...everywhere.

Re: Returning to Core Values

First of all, no matter what QVC does people will be unhappy. Everybody has a different idea what should change. When QVC  started there was no one on forums writing about who and what bothered you. Right now nothing seems to be changing, I turned it on last night and Amy was doing the bunny hop with who I think were the philosophy reps. That was, for me, the fastest channel changer ever.

Re: Returning to Core Values

Those are empty words. I have zero faith the Q will return to anything. It’s the same stuff on constantly and beyond overpriced. Too many retail options to look back.
