I recently returned a Baggalini handbag (it was way too small for my things) and the refund was strangely handled IMO. A week went by after the warehouse received it so I called Customer Service. The rep issued a refund for the entire amount saying the return label cost would be billed separately later.
I asked her to deduct the $6.95 and she just repeated her statement so I got the entire purchase price credited (it was free shipping). I thought it was odd. Is this usual now? Has anyone else experienced this? I don't purchase much and haven't done a return in ages.

I had a couple of returns done this way.

They've been doing this for quite awhile. When I do a return I email QVC Returns per the Easy Returns procedure. They credit the entire amount but the return shipping is charged at a later time - when the returned item is actually received.

@PinkyPetunia They can't refund the return shipping charge immediately because it varies depending on the size and type of merchandise. CS doesn't have that information.

Thank you everyone for your responses!

I've had it done both ways. Sometimes they refund the full amount and deduct the shipping later always $6.95 for the label. Other times they refund minus the shipping $6.95
edit to add: I always do the return on the computer and print up the return info and label.
It speeds things up a little.

I'm still waiting for my shipping charge to be refunded since the 7th of July.
They have the item and gave me 1.82, but not the 6.95.
The Q card bank says 5 working days and it has not be released from the 11th. Each CS gives a different answer.
QVC CS says 10 working days before release. I keep getting different stories. It sure doesn't take them long to charge you, but slow in refunding.
I had such a mess between QVC and HSN because of the Onterio warehouse holding things up and not able to cancel items.
Same item was sent to me twice from HSN after I got the 1st item and not able to cancel the same item that they were replacing.
At least HSN got it straighten out right away and said no charge for the item at all because of the mess the warehouse made on orders and unable to cancel.

Did you use a Q label? They are never free so that's probably what you'll see charged later.
