Lee Sands turned up on one of the channels just before Christmas. Cant remember what channel. Was still selling wallets! (LOL).

I remember many of the shows already mentioned. I also got a "craft" kit that you could make a replica of someone's hands. Several years before her death, I did my elderly mother's folded hands. They show her veins and very wrinkled hands. I love them and have them in a plexiglass display case.

Yes, Stitches in Time! Much better quality than Quacker Factory.
I remember Breyer horses, Christopher Radko, Peterboro baskets, Fenton, Sport Savvy.
And there are things they less and less of as time goes by.
I, too, remember the 50 in 50 tour, it was great, and if I remember correctly, they did it twice.

I've just read through this entire thread - it has brought back so many memories of what QVC used to be. Sadly, it never will be again.
Now it's all just the same old "stuff" that you can get anywhere for better prices. They've gone bland and generic, mostly with products made cheaply in China. I have nothing against China - it's just that the Q has forced many vendors to transfer their production there to drive down costs (and the profitability to the Q).
I remember a man who sold very simple wall hooks - they were like a metal curve that you just worked through drywall. I have them and they are great. But suddenly he "disappeared". The hooks were still being sold, but they were a knock-off of his design and less sturdy.
I researched what happened and he said that QVC insisted he take production to China. He refused because he was very proud that his product was made right here in the U.S. where he had complete control over quality. They dropped him and had a firm in China copy his design.
I've lost a lot of the respect I used to have for QVC. When Mike George took over, it was the beginning of the end for me. They really have very little I want to buy nowadays.

Sad. Remember when QVC used to PROMOTE USA made products? Like the 50/50 tour? Now it's just the opposite.
I'd forgotten about Fenton glass. I used to love watching those shows. So classy. I never bought anything, because I figured it would have a short life with me and I'd break it. You'd never see anything like that being sold now. ![]()

Don't remember the brand, but it was a necklace and then you got a can you opened to find a pearl in it and you put the pearl into your necklace. You didn't know what color pearl you would get. They sold those for a long time and must have sold many thousands. I think one of my kids got one for a gift. I think I saw something similar at HSN years later.

Seeing the Olympics made me remember the Russian priest who used to come on and sell the Matryoshka Dolls? He seemed very nice and was on quite a bit up until 10-15 years ago.
