I left a couple of weeks ago because I'd finally had enough of the hatefulness here. The vitriol spewed for page after page following a national tragedy was the pivotal factor for me. Saw the true colors of many posters. I now read the forums occasionally but no longer post or want to engage.

This entire thread is about judging fellow posters, the nice from the hateful. I don't mind either, it's not my business to tell a poster they shouldn't post their unkind feelings. My  business is my posts, not the posts of others.

Poor mods!!

Why should they have to be here on the Forums all the time?

it is just like the teacher who has to stay in the classroom every minute and monitor the children to be sure they behave--even though the teacher really has to go to the restroom!

These kinds of open forums are really quite silly.  QVC is a shopping channel, and they should have stayed focused on those topics in these forums.  Letting posters go off on every topic under the sun has certainly created a lot of dissension.

Not sure how you can possibly be upset with someone who is an anonymous, faceless, nonentity. It is just like reading an opinion column in the newspaper--ignore it and move on with life!

Yes, some people say they make "friends" on the forum, but it is really like extended pen pals unless you have some more personal interactions.

I came on here only because I love to shop on QVC. It is amazing to me how many life issues posters want to share.

Soon I will be working again for a bit, and then I will definitely be too busy to care at all about the QVC forums!

There are so many forum choices. I have mine and I really haven't seen much of what's being discussed here. I guess I just chose the right forums!

Some people wouldn't know kindness or tact if it bit them in the nose. They love the attention they get from them, enjoy baiting, or think they are better than others. I ignore the vast majority of them.

Some people misinterpret posts to be snarky when that's not what was intended.

Some people can't accept other views, opinions.

Many more people are nice, kind, and empathetic.

It's the world we live in.

We can't control other people. But we can control ourselves.

I appreciate what you're saying @shoekitty.  Guess I missed the posts that said  "anyone who wears that has to be stupid".

...or "must work on a farm."

@DottieBlue  -  I responded to the poster that said that made that rude comment to the other poster.  SMH.

@ellaphant  Of course you missed the point.   Why am I not surprised?

I didn't miss the point. As I said many Q Posters have unusual attachments to everything about Q. Hosts, vendors, host vacations, hosts schedules, where hosts live, looking up their homes on line. Feeling "sad" about a forum??

I didn't miss a thing. To me, it's all VERY weird.

@ellaphant  -  There are no "unusual attachments" going on.  This is a forum where discussions take place.  Nothing weird about that.

@smoochy when you say "saw the true colors of many posters".  Maybe you might realize that some , myself included ,   are just very passionate about there beliefs.  There is then the back and forth .   At times it does get heated I realize.

what i saw was, as you say, passionate beliefs expressed. Unfortunately with the opinions that opposing beliefs are invalid, wrong, etc etc. Zero tolerance or acknowledgement that other opinions also have merit. I actually didnt contribute anything, I just read some of the posts.

I suppose I could just scroll past. Its only an internet social media site after all. If I really feel the need to participate I can just stay within the topics that interest me. The shopping stuff.
