@ECBG, I shop many places where S&H is free, so there is no problem with returns there. When you don't pay S&H, you don't need a refund.

I can understand the return policy on housewares, linens, outdoor equipment, tech stuff etc. but on makeup and clothes and shoes they should change their policy. You know what a keurig coffee pot is like and you can even go and check it our before you buy on QVC. Until you try on clothes, shoes and cosmetics it is hard to know how it will fit or work for you especially with no quality control. If I go into a regular store and decide to try a blouse on, I will take in two in the same size in the color I want because I know they will fit differently. Same goes for pants.

I understand about the shipping, it's high everywhere but "Buyer Beware" is somelthing that we all have to be on top of no matter where you shop.
Example: Almost a year ago I bought two pairs of UGG Mini Baileys from Dillards because they were on sale. I wear these around the house and have had other pairs over the years. I wear a 9M and when you buy these you ask for a size 8M. Since I have had these before I absolutely knew my size and didn't bother to try either pair on! The clerk checked the boxes (size 8M) and opened each box and looked at the top shoe... both size 8M.
I started wearing one of the pairs immediately and they were fine and tucked the other pair away until recently (almost a year), took them out and tried them on and one of the shoes hardly fit! I looked at the sizing and one was an 8 the other was a 7~!! Unwearable!
This should not have happened to me but it did because I neglected to go the distance with these boots and try them both on (which will ALWAYS happen from now on). There's no way I can return them.... I am scr*wed.... angry at both the store and myself.
And frankly I'm very, very tired of it..... this kind of stuff seems to be EVERYWHERE....

If you want an item sent to your home so you can try it out, test it, look at it, see if it fits, see if you like the color, etc., at minimum, you should pay for the shipping.
The item had to be packaged, insured, sent to your home, and then go back which also entails additional postage and insurance. If you do not pay for these expenses, who should? Those costs get passed along to everyone else, and I resent having to pay more for items because others cannot make up their minds or research something fully before purchasing.
If one does not like this, perhaps she should shop elsewhere or, even better, go to an actual retailer in person and try something out.
And before peole start saying that not eeryone can gt out, I understand that. I o most of my shopping online. I have only one leg, so i understand the challenges of getting out, but I do not epet others to help underwrite my shopping habits.ss

Im not suprised that I had to pay to return, I just think $17.40 on shipping for a phone that is so lightweight is a bit much. No worries, I cut my card up.

Definitely! No Shoes.

My shopping habits online have changed primarily due to high cost shipping. To spend $11 - $12 (includes original shipping) to return a $30 item is not justifiable for me. Unless I'm 95% certain it is going to work for me I don'5 buy it. Admittedly I've donated a few item instead of returning due to this issue. Don't purchase shoes since Q did away with Birkie's.

The thing is, you knew the s/h when you ordered the item. And you know there is a possibility that you may need/want to return the item. And you know QVC doesn't refund original s/h and you have to pay to send the item back. If all that is too much for you, it's best not to order.

Regarding returns, I'm not sure I'm loving the way QVC is handling returns now. I think this was discussed before but I can't find the thread.
I purchased the Josie Maran supersize body butter. With s/h my order was a little over $58.00 and it was on 6 easypay. I wanted to use the easypay because I was unsure of the scent. So I knew there was a chance I'd be making a return.
I detested the scent and decided to send this one back and reorder the unscented. I ended up using the Q return label that was $6.95 because it would have only saved me $1.00 to make my own label and it wasn't worth it to me.
QVC rec'd my return and I received an e-mail saying the amount of my refund was $6.78. That would be the correct amount after the original s/h of $3.00 was deducted from my easypay. However, that didn't take into consideration the $6.95 return label fee.
To my surprise, I have a separate $6.95 charge for the return label fee. As of today my account has not been credited the $6.78. I'm assuming that will come within the next couple of days. I guess it makes no difference but apparently because my first easypay was less than the total return charge, they chose to refund me and then separately charge me for the return label? Or is this how they are going to do things from now on? A refund and then charge.

My Eve Pearl TSV was beyond damaged when I received it. The foundation and concealer were oozing outside their containers, and the product separated and stuck to anything it touched. My hands were full of product just from removing it from the box. I called CS who assured me that I would get a 100% reimbursement as the product arrived damaged. Well, not surprising, they deducted shipping & only reimbursed me $12. Lesson learned
