This is nothing new. QVC always seems to start out shipping with ups and then it transfers to usps to make the actual delivery. When I return using the shipping label 8nckuded in the order I always take it to usps never ups.

if you ever notice tracking numbers for ups are a combo of numbers with a few letters sprinkled in but the usps tracking usually starts with a "9". This would be visible on your return label and your tip off.  There are also return directions that are printed on the label too so as to alleviate confusion.
