Re: Question about presentations

[ Edited ]

🤔  It's difficult to know how many people may or may not be watching at any given time. The programming has become repetitive throughout the day, with a limited number of vendors presenting each day. Many Q-customers have stated that they rarely, or only on a limited basis, watch programming, and others claim that they just don't buy like they used to. Down the road, it will be interesting to see where "The New QVC" ends up.

Additionally,  I believe that a certain portion of inventory is set-aside for app ordering.

I have successfully purchased many an item via the app while the host broadcasting proclaimed We Are Sold Out!

Allotments to specific shows.

Allotments to specific hosts.

Allotments to specific ordering vehicles.

Re: Question about presentations

Not sure how precise their inventory software is.  Even if they state 300 left, that has to be a pure guess.

The have swings on financials too.

On the site a lot of items are shown that never seem to have air time at all.

The customers stating they aren't watching or  buying are those here on these boards who represent a tiny fraction of the customers QVC reaches.  Many people buy online only and don't need to watch.  Personally, I think QVC is going to be just fine.

Re: Question about presentations

I don't pay any attention when they give numbers. I hear this is limited and that is limited while I'm looking and everything is green. I agree it's a sales ploy no matter the reasons.

Re: Question about presentations

They go in and on about a lot of things.  The idea is to sell and get us excited to buy.  I have cut myself off buying from Q and when I watch I am finding the things they are saying are just plan funny at times or odd.

I've been busy buying school stuff for my grand kids so I'm getting my fix.  😝

I have been enjoying going out and looking and hitting the shops around here.  Spending time with the kids too and making a day of it.  Been fun.
