QVC's Veterans Day Weekend Sale!? Not Very Good!

I Shop at QVC every year. This is the only year I have ever made a public comment. But everyone has really "kick-off" the Veterans Day, some starting as far back as last Wednesday. The sales are like or better than Black Friday sales, and trust me I have to shop that way. But I always shop with the value, place, worth, "You Get What You Pay For Idea". That is why QVC has always been one of my #1 places to shop when I need something.

But this weekend, there where a few worth while sales, but not like the other stores put out. It was so good, I almost finished my Christmas shopping.

Oh, this is another thing that has always bothered me, since I never get up here, why not? If QVC will match product pricing to my understanding, not sure if they will match shipping I would think so, But for those of us that never call in and always use online got to by it now or it is going to sell out.. Another thing I hate.. A bunch of charges from one place due to that just because I have not finished shopping.

You know us ladies we take forever and if we have to get on the phone to verify "wait", then we will just by it some where else.

So QVC, just think about this and it not just about the sales. People honoring Veterans Day for me! "Family of Vets' fought and Lost", is saying alot.

Thanks, for listening...

Re: QVC's Veterans Day Weekend Sale!? Not Very Good!

It is up to us as shoppers to shop around and search for the best value -- it is not up to QVC to provide it for us.

I hae never seen Veterans Day sales end up being better than tose on Black Friday, and I m aware of anyone who has ever served in the military needing a retailer to validate their honorable service to our country with discounted pricing.

In regards to price matching, it is unrealistic to expect a retailer such as QVC (or HSN) to match pricing.  Retailers which do rely on price-matching to get customers in the doopr with the hopes that the customers will end up purchasing other items there.  Online retailers such a QVC know that you will usually not be purchasing additional items at the time, so the incentive to get you "in the door" is lost; additionally, in many cases, retailers such as QVC cannot beat out a place like Amazon which operates at a much smaller profit margin due to smaller overhead.

I completely agree with the OP.

Oh, and don't forget it's Black Friday all month here at QVC.  <rolleyes>

I'm really fed up with all retailers using every holiday to have another sale. What happened to just celebrating the true meaning of Veteran's Day? Or any other holiday?

Don't you know that "QVC" and "sale" cannot go in the same sentence?

If you like sales, shop with whoever has the sales.  Pretty simple.  Sales don't drive my purchases unless it's an item I've already been thinking about buying.  I know some are already buying for Christmas, but I can't seem to get motivated.

Not surprising. QVC has a history of 'sales' that aren't very good.

Are they having a sale this weekend? Ha, I didn't even notice.  The only show I watched any part of this weekend was AM Style and that was before I left to go to they gym.

I don't watch the "variety shows" with multiple hosts and based on the program guide there was no reason to turn it on so I haven't.

Plus there are very seldom good buys on QVC.  Their pricing is high already.

QVC  doesn't sell things I can't live without or (for the most part) can't buy elsewhere. I might wait a certain amount of time (a month? 2 weeks?) for a large purchase I think might be on sale somewhere (nowhere in particular, just somewhere) to see what I can get for the price I'm willing to spend. But waiting to see what QVC might have on sale - no, never. The idea makes me smile. Their sales aren't sales, they're just price manipulations, and the determining factor is what are they trying to clear out of stock so they don't take too big a loss. If they din't want it, chances are other customers don't want it, and I won't either.

Hey @GinaV24...  "Variety" shows, HA, what a misnomer...
