Its time for the Q to really ditch some of these hosts that arent big sellers or add much to the network. Monifya Days needs to go as shes quite boring and doesnt add much. Also Chelsea Phillips, Rosina Grosso and yes I am even saying Julia Cearley. I was one of Julias early fans and loved her spunk. I havent been impressed at all with her lately. She seems all over the place and she has bad on air habits. Its time for a shakeup imo.

They need a new CEO.

Re: QVC needs a hosts shakeup

@JONNYSBRO I believe filing for bankruptcy is in itself, a shakeup.  Although I do agree with your assessment of some hosts you mention, I enjoy the other two, QVC won't keep hosts that aren't selling.

QVC knows the hosts numbers, as do the hosts themselves. There are a couple hosts I cannot watch, no matter what they present. However, it appears others like them and they seem to sell. So, I just make the decision not to watch nor do I ever purchase while these hosts are on air.

Since I don't watch and don't know any of the hosts mentioned, my feeling is that they have got to be feeling pressure knowing what's coming.  And agree with previous poster--the top management has got to go.  The  health of any company starts at the top.

I completely agree David Rawlinson needs to go. Hes the worst CEO and a total joke. They should get Mindy Grossman who transformed HSN to lead the QVC group.

@JONNYSBRO  We know you're obsessed with Lisa Robertson...and no one else probably comes close. I like Monifa and Chelsea.....I never cared for Julia. I think that liking or disliking a host is subjective. I believe that it depends on who you can identify with, enjoy their personality, and find them helpful overall. You may prefer one over another, but it comes down to numbers...$$.

I do agree with you on that. And whoever hired him should be fired. The company was a sinking ship for a long time, and the Board of Directors should've hoisted the CEO ages ago. He made some really BAD decisions.

Re: QVC needs a hosts shakeup

And other people would disagree with your selections OP, because with the exception of one of the hosts, all of them are better than some of the long tenured steamrollers who never let anyone speak. IMO, of course.

Their issues are at a Corporate level.  It is the people, or person, making decisions to make "deals" with certain companies, not standing by their mission statement of the original meaning of QVC, etc. The hosts do not set prices, they do not manufacture the product or control shipping timelines, free shipping or deals. They are salespeople and in reality, they are the least of the concerns for future success of QVC unless we just think cutting a bunch of hosts salaries by firing them will suddenly save the place.  That was already done in the big layoffs with Carolyn and the other one before that, around covid time.  Could some of hosts do better, dress the correct size, and mention the materials or details more? Yes, 100%. But, if the product is gimicky or total garbage and they keep pushing it and wasting air time on those products, people are not going to buy.  The consumer is far more savvy these days and there are too many options out there to compare the pluses and minuses of a product someone may consider purchasing.

Not to mention, their restructure is occuring at a time when consumer confidence is down across all areas. This is not just a Q problem, it is a industry wide issue.

There will be a new Board of Directors quite soon.  Immediately upon final Court approval of The Restructuring Plam the current Board will be terminated,  deemed to have resigned.

The new equity owners (hedge funds, mutual funds and banks) will then be empowered with the authority to appoint a new Board (very likely insiders from their institutions.)  Hosts had and have nothing to do with the real issue:  hosts do not approve or issue corporate debt.  It is excessive debt that allows a Chapter 11 filing.  Posters may, however not like the changes from a new Board.  They may find hosts on a TV broadcast to be totally and completely unnecessary.

Blaming hosts is very, very naive and silly.  They don't approve debt issuance, and no host could ever generate the amount of sales revenue needed to service that debt.

Since the Board may terminate and hire the CEO, I anticipate a change before the end of the year.  That CEO could very well come from one of the controlling financial institutions.   Be careful what you wished for.  The hedge fund bosses may bring you nothing you desire.

Re: QVC needs a hosts shakeup

Considering the current CEO started in 2021 and that was the beginning negative numbers and it has continued for 5 years with no change, he is one if the problems.

Yes, the online shopping has gone through changes in past 5 years, but nothing has been done at the top which I find

unrealistic in the current business world.
