I wonder why Rawlinson was hired in the first place. When the #'s began to crater soon after his hire (COVID times, as we recall), I wonder why his contract was continued after things started to go "south."
I also remember the warehouse fire catastrophe and the layoffs.
The debt continue to grow, seemingly unabated.
I recall what I consider his "gimmicky" PLAN to restructure the debt and put the company on a more sustainable path to success.
I remember hiring all the consultants and the segue to TikTok and streaming.
I, however, never saw any appreciable changes in production costs and presentation tactics by the hosts (except making them seemingly more "frantic.") I don't recall seeing any push to present items that were "unique" and well priced.
My thought is that he will now be REWARDED by a "golden parachute" of lifelong financial security and the company will limp along until some resolution (maybe not foreseeable at this time) will occur.

Its time for the Q to really ditch some of these hosts that arent big sellers or add much to the network. Monifya Days needs to go as shes quite boring and doesnt add much. Also Chelsea Phillips, Rosina Grosso and yes I am even saying Julia Cearley. I was one of Julias early fans and loved her spunk. I havent been impressed at all with her lately. She seems all over the place and she has bad on air habits. Its time for a shakeup imo.
@JONNYSBRO Start with JRT and get rid of shows like menopause BUT I agree CEO needs to go.

Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection may be filed only for two reasons:
Liabilities have exceeded Assets
Debts can not be paid in full when due (based upon projections)
QVC Group met both of these requirements.
I haven't seen a single host named in any of the Bankruptcy Court documents and filings being blamed for these failings!

Yes, the online shopping has gone through changes in past 5 years, but nothing has been done at the top which I find
unrealistic in the current business world.
@wakefield64 Actually, Mike George was the CEO when the dramatic decrease in sales began. George retired in 2021 after a significant decreases in sales. Then Rawlinson was hired as CEO the same year to turn things around. He did not.
Rawlnson made bad decisions, but he had a damaged Qurate/QVC when he took the helm.

But don't you know that Jane and Julia and Monifa caused $6.5 Billion in debt!
Laughing hysterically that some think that was the cause and problem.

I have always wondered about their very generous return policy. Items being used and returned and can't be resold. Probably in the thousands or even millions. A lot of waste there.

This bankruptcy issue is bigger than any of us, but if people stop watching QVC because of the hosts, right, wrong and in between, then that may cause a bit of loss in revenue. I really don't watch very much, I look on line on the Denim and Company days as I do like their t-shirts. I do the same for Revitaline shoes, but I am getting tired of the inconsistency with sizing with that brand. The few other things I have purchased I could get somewhere else like Cuddle Duds. People like their QVC, but it seems like they just want someone to listen to them-some one who can help make changes.

As to CEO Rawlinson, people had the same complaints about Mike George during his tenure.
QVC isn't in trouble because of the hosts. It's in trouble due poor financial decisions and not realizing shopping habits had changed.

Absolutely agree the ship began to sink during George's tenure. Then, Rawlinson did little to right it, but my assessment is that by the time George finally left it was already too little too late. Hosts did not cause the problems but their behavior, which I believe was largely dictated by clueless management, did contribute to it by making already boring and repetitive programming more unwatchable to a large segment of the former audience. The hosts, should they even remain, will not be the solution to the ills this corporation is trying to overcome.

I don't think that anyone actually thinks that. BUT, it is easy to blame the hosts because there are so many that are unwatchable. For myself, I buy when I watch. Not watching = not buying. So in effect, unlikeable hosts DO affect sales, in that they are lower that they could/should be. But those lower sales certainly do not tip the financial scales to the extent to which QVC is in the situation it now finds itself.
