My exposure to Albany is virtually non existent because I turn the channel when she is hosting. This came about because a couple of years ago I watched her host the first hour of a Fashion Day. That was the first time I had watched her host a show for any significant amount of time. The TSV was a skirt that QVC used to carry. It was a mid calf, floral print skirt with a handkerchief style hem. It came in about 8 different floral and geometric prints. Now I would have thought that presenting a TSV at midnight would have inspired the host to perhaps prepare ahead of time for the presentation. Not so with Albany. She had no idea of what the various print names were. She found that hysterically funny. She was trying to listen to the producer give her the color names and still could not get them right. She found that even funnier. Finally she actually said that if you needed to know the names for the colors you should go to QVC.com to find them. What?? Then what are you being paid for?? It seemed very bizarre and strange behavior to me and certainly no way to present a TSV for a fashion day. She was certainly totally unprepared and unprofessional. The next day I caught two more presentations of the skirt. Lisa Robertson did one presentation and I cannot recall the other hosts name but both of them had their presentation down cold and knew every color name. Ever since then I will not watch Albany.

I can handle Albany is measured doses. I haven't seen her in a while, though. She can be overly chatty about nonsensical things. My biggest gripe has to do with her extreme southern accent which suddenly pops up out of nowhere. If you listen to her with Cottage Farms' Phillip or paired with some other vendors, you'll hear a much more southern Albany compared to when she's on by herself.

I agree, wildcat. I've lived all over the South, and her accent is weird. Southern accents are charming. I think both Albany & Courtney, both from the South sound completely different. What they have in common, is neither sound like true Southerners.

I thought she was horrible in the show you are mentioning.
Dislike her immensely as a host.
I find her fake, insincere, and phony.
Never liked her.
She comes on. QVC goes off.
Same as her buddies KIERSTIN, JENNIFER, STACEY too.
All 4 of them I find to be awful.

I thought Gary (Mr. D&C) was SO funny yesterday when he said "I'm going to stay over here with the models because I'm afraid of Albany"....LOL! She also got him flustered when he asked her "Do you know why this is a good design?" and she quipped "because YOU designed it?". So funny.

It was getting on my nerves how she kept getting right up in his face and saying she was old enough to be his mother and clawing him.  I cracked up when he slowly turned his chair around the other way and she, at last, cut it out.  Chaz was saying some really good information and Albany cut right in with her acting out and Chaz backed right down being the passive soul that he is and so we were cheated out of some good info.  I say they need to tone it down a bit, these hosts.  Some are worse than others but this Albany lady seem to be a bit too much.  I'm not into the hosts, I'm spending money and I want to learn as much as I can before purchasing.  When I want to see a "show"  I'll turn on a movie or something.

Everyone has their favorite hosts, it's personal. Watch what you like and shop online at other times.  Does everyone like you?

IMHO Albany has a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, sometimes off-color, sometimes caustic and sometimes droll, even sarcastic.  It's also rougher than it should be and it's easy to think she's being rude but I think it's misunderstood.  This is just my interpretation of what I'm seeing when I watch her because I had a friend a long time ago who had a personality that was similiar.  It's difficult to be around because it's hard to tell if it's deliberate rudeness or what I call "hard humor".  I do believe that everything she says is based or her trying to be funny.....

This doesn't mean I find it easy to listen to or be around, I don't and will often mute the sound.....

Mostly I think she's pretty funny. However, during one of the last WEN shows her firting seemed so over the top....followed by Angel's bridal shower and the flirting with Liam.

If the gender roles were reversed, i don't think that type of behavior would be tolerated for not even two seconds. Picture Rick acting like that with female models. NOPE.

I agree, it shouldn't be tolerated either way.  Not only that, but it is very uncomfortable to watch.
