I have been watching for years, when I first started it was great, since then they have gotten rid of a lot of vendors and now focus on their own products. Seems they have gotten money hungry too a lot of their own Q card mentioned and some of the hosts have gotten very pushy in their sales pitch, like Jayne Brown. It isn't even as fun to watch their Xmas shows anymore, any show I watch is the same old products over and over. If I see one more Josie Maran show I'm going to scream. Bring back the old QVC it was way more exciting!

This is probably the best explanation of all.  It saves a lot of time and frustration complaining about the change in QVC.  I've seen this in other stores that promote the house brand over the national brand.  So QVC is doing likewise.  Can they maybe in the future bring in a couple of new vendors to spice up the programming?  Like throwing a bone to a dog?

ITA.  One of the older group that has poured tons of money into this business.  Saving  Now, prices higher, clothes not as good material wise, some ugly and classless.  It was fun to watch with different bender a, but I understand times change and they need to make money.  Not going to make it from young peoplee here.

I agree that QVC no longer interests me. I've solved that problem for myself by no longer watching. That said, the notion that they had to move 'ahead' with the times and focus on what works only holds water if that strategy fosters a solid performance. Based on financial reports, it wouldn't appear that it is... I don't particularly care if QVC returns to days of yore, but they certainly need to climb out of their current repetitious, hard-sell, boring, humdrum existence... They're in a rut and appear either unmotivated or unable to come up with a plan to climb out of it... All that said, barring some sort of major paradigm shift, I think the glory days of TV based home shopping are past...

I definitely watched QVC more in the past. The 4 hour Diamonique shows, collector Saturdays,  Kirk's Folly, and anything Jeff Hewson was important viewing in my home. Now, I only watch for clothing, and the prices are so high before shipping and tax, unless it's something I really like and I know it's in my budget, I don't buy. The repetitive vendors, hard sells, and dull 2-3 hour blocks of Dyson, electronics, mattresses, and similar items I feel are contributing to declining sales, along with online shopping and trying to cater to a population that for the most part doesn't embrace TV shopping. But QVC is here to make money, and as long as those same vendors are top sellers, they're going to be here until those vendors leave or croak.

Time to move on if it bores you to death. I rarely watch. Buy very little anymore.

Baby-boomer here .... still alive.  Hearing perfect--can hear Amy screeching on Monday night shows .... eyesight 20/20--can see Dave V. spinning around several times in exhalation, and has more spendable income for Q purchases due to "no mortgage."

It's the Millennials that are the largest generation that's around now.

Yes, by 2020, the number of millenials will overtake boomers.  That still doesn't mean boomers are not forward thinking, active, and worth something.

@Maddie64  Bringing back the old QVC isn't going to happen.  If you dislike the station so much, then opt out of watching and ordering from it.   It's the capitalist system.  Nobody is forcing you to watch or buy.

And nobody has said otherwise.   I don't know what your issue is; to me it's nonexistent.
