From the earnings release yesterday morning.  Yeah!  I love pickleball!  Very, very smart and savvy business move, (in my view.)  Brilliant and fabulous idea!

"We are also pleased to announce that we recently signed a multiyear agreement with USA Pickleball, the fastest growing sport in America. For three consecutive years, Pickleball had 8.9 million players in 2023 and 50,000 attendees and 2.6 million television viewers for its 2023 national championship.

QVC will be the exclusive retail partner and exclusive broadcast partner of USA Pickleball for its golden ticket events as well as the nationals tournament each November.

QVC will broadcast the tournaments live on QVC+,  create unique behind the scenes content and curate products in partnership with USA Pickleball."

I do not get the idea of QVC broadcasting sports, I personally think its a stupid idea.

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America, having grown 51.8% from 2022 to 2023, and an incredible 223.5% in four years since 2020.

If you enter pickleball in QVC's search function, every day they've had added more & more items that are directly or indirectly connected to the sport.

QVC already sells many exercise and NFL items.  Getting more people interested and/or excited about this sport makes good retail sense to me.  Capitalize on it while it's hot!

After all, it's on QVC Plus, which means you'll need to be very interested to seek it out there.  It's not like they're doing location shows at pickelball matches (but that may be an idea!).

It's going to be streaming on QVC+,  not on the broadcast outlets.

Your regularly scheduled shows (which receive many, many complaints anyway) will not be interrupted!

It's the only sport seniors can play on a regular basis. Seems natural for QVC.
