You know I have to say I saw that show too and I felt the same, like she was really being pushy yesterday!   I normally like her but thought maybe she was having a bad day or in a bad mood??   As far as a returns letter, I would be insulted and no longer purchase.  If they are going to do that they better follow up with a thank you letter for all the money I've spent over the years!!

I enjoy Carolyn and get amused when Gary lets her know the sales pitch needs to go down a notch. That was a long show and a lot of product to move. When the presentations are long, like for the TSV, the sales tactics can get heavy handed. I appreciate the inventory updates, but I take my time before buying to make sure I don’t rush to buy and then waste my $ on returns. If a color or size I wanted sells out, so be it.

Yes, they do a hard sale, but that's their job. The customer is so addicted to the sales entertainment channel, we take everything these sales actors say seriously. As I have said many times when these types of threads appear, nobody cancels and returns as much stuff as I do. QVC if you read this,SEND ME THE LETTER. LOL

In my opinion Gary was out of line. He should defer to the sales host. they are the ones trained to sell. Gary is a designer. He knows nothing about sales. I was shocked Gary told Carolyn to tone it down.

Some of the hosts get so intense that I sometimes think that if they don't sell a lot of stuff, tthey believe that someone back stage is going to burn them at the stake when they get off the air.

Denim &co. IMO is one of the if not the most forced lines on the Q followed by Gili and logo, then philosophy. Yhese brands run on a constant .Then Jose and It. Every chance Carolyn gets even when she is presenting other brands she plugs D&C I have often wondered if she has stock in the company .

No one pushes harder than shawn with Gili i mean really it is hard to take it seriously when you are told the two are girlfriends . I also really dont appreciate knowing that all the hosts get the items they are selling in advance .I get it that they have to try a beauty brand but mirrors and dermaflashes and expensive items that we are expected to just put on easy pay or open a Q card because we have nothing to lose except the shipping and return fees. Just wish at times some would keep personal info out and talk details about products

yes, I have heard (lately) the “why not buy two?” (of the same thing).

The interrupting I cannot stand ... why do you think I don’t watch infomercials instead?

I might as well be at a used car lot...who enjoys that?

I can tell (or suspect) that both hosts and vendors have someone urging them in their earpieces

to “say this”

“say this other”

“don’t forget.”

And it appears also that all of the hosts sat in a weekly sales meeting where they were told...

“we (management) don’t want a single second of airtime to be left empty.”

If they are selling a great product, the high pressure sales pitches aren’t necessary...the product will sell itself...wish denim & co would start selling things that don’t look like they are only appealing to those over 65...and that is my age group... but it doesn’t mean I want to dress like I am.
