I noticed that they now tell you how to use the QVC card promotion - that it can't be used if you speed buy. When I got my card, I was supposed to get a card credit, and had absolutely no idea how to get it. I got the card, bought several things and for the next few months kept looking for a credit on my statement. Because it's a credit when you use the card, who could possibly know that it was something that you had to input when you order. Finally, now they are telling you that when they mention the credit. I did get my credit, but i had to contact customer service several times. I can only assume that they got enough complaints that they finally realized that customers can't read their minds.

People are confused that it's not an actual credit on your credit card account.  It's on your QVC account.  And I don't think that is stated well enough by most hosts.

When I listen to what they say about it on air, I would assume it's a card credit too.

They told me it was too late, too. I finally got someone who, when I asked how I was supposed to know, said that it would prompt me when I checked out, and when I told her that I almost always do easy-pay, said basically, oh yeah, that won't work. I guess she heard what she had said, and realized that it wasn't my fault. And she fixed it. It was against the next thing I bought, of course, not the thing I wouldn't have purchased except for the credit. But at least it was something.

@sherylsiu   I don't know what name to give what happened because I never read the details of the offer, but it's not bait and switch.  Sorry that happened to you, but yes, we do have to pay attention to the written details.  Think Judge Judy -  who alwsays wanted to see the written contract.

I have heard the hosts say Account Credit for a future purchase many, many times!

Esp Kirsten & MBR.

I guess people don't know the difference between a charge card credit on your monthly Synchrony bill and a QVC account credit to use on a future purchase.  They are two different things.

I wouldn't be so judgemental. When the mods have communicated with me they've used the term "merchandise credit" which is what you check off on a return slip if you want a credit on your account.  It is sensible to think an account credit refers to a credit card account. QVC should be clearer.

@Catstamper   It also appears that each time a "credit" is announced, it varies from $25 to $50. I don't have a Q card, but would be miffed if I only rec'd the lower amount and days later could have rec'd double.

Hubby got a Q card and made a purchase. It was paid in full the next billing cycle and THEN after a few emails we received the 60 dollar credit for future purchases. You have to pay off the original purchase before you receive the credit, or should I say 60 dollars towards a new purchase.

60 dollars was the promotion at the time, I haven't seen that amount since.

The highest was $60. I signed up for $50. and the next day it was $60. Smiley Happy  Yes, I would be unhappy if I got the $25. I didnt have trouble. I got the credit card and my next purchase I got the $50. credit.
