I feel the same way. HSN really has great discounts plus coupons During their Birthday celebrations. QVC is just cheap and never really offers any deals except value pays.....big deal.

I agree.  It is the end of a season and a time of sales by all.  Even some hosts have said they are cleaning out the warehouse to make room for fall seasonals.   May items have been in this price range for some time.  Dooney logo luck that is always $279 is marked down but only in the colors they are eliminating.  That was told on one of the recent programs.  I went to a mall today for the first time in a long time.  Good exercise and people watching.  The outfits in this area are not the same as they show for Philly and NYC.  Not even our college students.  I think it will be healthy for me to take short rides and do mall walking.  There are some beautiful things with great prices.   No s&h and no returns.

Re: QVC Birthday

I, to am disappointed in QVC.  I was waiting for some real specials.  The prizes are ok but not many given out.  I frequently get coupon codes from HSN and Evine often gives automatic $10 off when using their card - and that's for no special reason AND their prices turn to real sale prices on many things quickly!  I still buy a lot from QVC but more and more from the other 2 shopping channels now.

I never even looked for birthday deals.  Q has a reputation of touting a couple of dollars off as a big deal.  Well, it's not.

I chuckle when they have a OTO taking $3 off their original price.  Thank you very much as you have just given me back the $3 s&h charge.  Lately I include the return postage with the actual original cost when I am considering a purchase.  Postage both ways is $10+.  Do I want the item that much to risk the loss if there is a problem with the product. I have had to many returns lately to want to throw away on each purchase.  I would rather shop with caution than keep throwing away $10+ X ?????????  I ended the last many years working 70 hours per week as I am a widow.  I am now retired.  I am no longer buying at 3AM because I have no time to go to the mall.  I take time to enjoy shopping (mostly family gifts) and make careful selections.  I bought my daughter an Issac lace top which we both love.  His designs work for our 3 generations and we are never disappointed in a purchase from him.

Has anyone noticed that the so called "weekly" winners of their 30th birthday sweepstakes contest haven't changed in a long time?  Makes you wonder -- just saying!
