Totally agree. Never get anything from the Q after years of loyalty and lots of $$$! At least HSN sends coupons every once in a while...Amazon offers 5% off using their card, and no need to talk about great shipping with Prime. Q-nada. I keep looking, bust seldom buy anymore.![]()

Nope...Look, I believe anyone that spends alot at the Q should be rewarded in some small way? The Q misses me because I got over my addiction with them..Realized I could buy alot of products eleswhere much cheaper,,, I am free now. No more 800.00 a month easy pays!!!!! I way over did it..Its easy to get sucked in with the easy pay offers...NO MORE..I am in the clear..I'm a free bird flying high and never again to be weighed down by the sale pitches.. WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE END UP IN ALOT OF FINANICAL PROBLEMS DUE TO THE WEAKNESS WE CAN HAVE WATCHING THE Q..?
IF I DO PURCHASE FROM THE Q IT WILL ONLY BE ONE EASY PAY A MONTH FROM NOW ON..
FOOD ADDICTIONS, DRUGS, BOOZE AND THAN THERES THE Q...
Amen, sista!!!! Amen.

It isn't just shopping channels, although we can see how easy it is to get behind the 8 ball with EZ pays. Many women shop as a diversion, go out to the Malls, buy shoes, high end Designer bags and clothing and just charge it (make your own EZ pays).... because there is something missing. To fill that void (whether you realize that's what you're doing or not) the person goes shopping. Sometimes it's to have the trappings that makes us feel part of a group, sometimes it's to feel the excitement of the purchase.....
My neighbor was like this ... She would buy at Nordstroms, enjoy using/looking at the stuff for awhile and take it all back. The little she actually kept was to hopefully get attention. This condition does need compassion and empathy.... and in some cases, help.

And please stop with the liquid knit, and this knit, and that knit. It's P-O-L-Y-E-S-T-E-R. Call it what it is.

When they went to clean out her home to sell she said there was tons of packages from QVC unopened!
My goodness that is so very sad. I'm in the process of getting out from under QVC, it's an addiction. That easy pay is a drug and we really need to be careful of it, too easy to get swept up.
BE STRONG.

@shwarma wrote:Good for you! It feels great to be debt free. I have a close friend 70 years old, short on money..looks around her house and said, "why did I buy all this stuff!" No more easy pay for me either. Stay strong!
Too bad more people aren't as encouraging as you. Such mean people in some of these forums. I know we're all entilted to our opinions but why be so mean?!?!?!?!

I am trying very, very hard not to purchase so much from QVC. I have 3 credit cards going with easy pays and it needs to stop! I think the temporary feel-good rush has a lot to do with it. I have a lot of "buyer's regret" and do send a lot back but then I'm paying return shipping charges! This is my problem, not QVC's or anyone elses and I know I need to make some changes in my television viewing! I love to read so I'm trying to do more of that and less of the Q! Wish me luck!!!!

My best friend fir decades lived alone after a divorce and was found dead in her home last year. When the police called me, because I was her emergency contact, they said her home was full of UNopened QVC bags and boxes. Dozens and dozens of them. It was a sad image.

You have made a giant step by recognizing the "temporaryh feel-good rush" as well as things that enable the shopping. I get totally get it. Baby steps now will grow. Good luck. Also hope you find that "something" that will draw you in a better direction. Best...

@libbyannE sorry for the loss of your friend. I hear you, yes, a sad image. I want to be surrounded by loved ones, not unopened shopping boxes and bags. I can see how shopping from home might make a lonely person think they are participating in life, but it is an expensive placebo.
