Re: QCard Rip Off

[ Edited ]

I've never had an issue with my Qcard nor Synchrony. I pay off my balance every month and have never been overcharged. In this day and age I would never pay a credit card bill by mail either. Too many factors that could cause a delay.

I have benefited from the little perks of having the card @Jackyl . No issues. I'm unclear if you paid that $2 but if you didn't, that ding on your credit could become a problem in the future.

@Jackyl  I cancelled my Q card when they started charging 1.99 to mail out our bills.

I had this happen to me with my Macy's charge card.  I paid my bill online way before the due date in full.  Got a statement the next month with an interest charge.  I contacted them and they did remove the charge.  I always pay online so I can see that the payment was credited on the date I paid.

I have had that happen with a few cc I have when I pay it off.  I was told that interest still accrue which I always fight to get it removed since I paid it in full.  Here is the explanation I found regarding this.

 This is usually due to residual interest (also called trailing interest) — interest that accrues between the day your statement closes and the day your payment actually posts

@cjm61    I don't shop as much as I used to... but I keep my Q card for the little perks too.  I have never had an issue and have been happy with most purchases.... I also never carry a balance because the interest rate is much too high for me.  And as for paying anything through the mail... never!    I paid an insurance bill by check once and it was lost in the mail.  It cost me $35.00 to stop payment by my bank...Plus if someone steals the check...they have my account info.  So...as you said...too many factors to consider.  Only on-line bill pay for me and well ahead of due date...

It's usually a couple of bucks so I sometimes add that to my payment (paying entire balance) so they won't send me another bill saying balance 2.50. But of course they do. You really can't win.

@Jackyl @Judaline @Mombo1 @quilter61 @quilter61

Every month Macys sends my CREDIT BILL of $

-.42

[so they actually OWE me]‼️

and written beside the amount in red letters is something worded about "you can pay this off...etc"

I can't remember but they make it sound desperate.

I have never had a single issue with my Q Card or Care Credit card.  I get the email with the statement, click on it then and pay it.  No extra interest, no late charges, no surprises.

I've not had any issues with my Q card and have not had to pay any interest or misc fees thus far.

No issues either and I pay all my bills on line or have them set up on auto payment.  Last check I wrote was for the plumber.

I don't carry any credit card balances either and they charge way too much interest.  I was not always that way and learned my lesson over the years.  I always paid on time but not always the total balance.  Not a bargain if you are paying interest over and over.
