I HAVE to wonder just how much money this cost to orchestrate??  🤔

@cheriere  Yes.  No need to fly out to Vegas for this.

This is the second thread you've started saying the same thing @Daffney .  I really don't understand why this is so bothersome to  people here.  Lots of companies do very similar campaigns.   Not to be taken so seriously.

Seems as if the OP is quite negative all around regarding QVC.

@Daffney,

Believe me,you are not the only one who is confused! I don't get it either and yes why Las Vegas?🙄

I remember the big Christmas celebration for Dennis a few years back. I think it was at a castle/mansion. fancy eveinng  dresses worn by hosts, champagne passed around.

Bottom line, it was just another show to sell merchandise in another venue. Q is all about sales no matter where they take the hosts.

Seems some of the hosts are confused also as to what this was all about. Sandra Bennet says it was a “workshop” on her page. I don’t follow any qvc hosts but on another website a person posted her response. She was surprised by the negative comments on this site and other host’s pages. (So yes, they do read posts here). That they should have explained it better. She goes on to say there was “some publicity” for it.
SOME! Women the hosts have been talking about it for weeks here, mailers have been sent out to homes of qvc customers, it was on radio, magazine, and the Sphere in Vegas was rented for advertisement. SOME publicity for a mere workshop?
IMHO TPTB did not expect such blowback/negativity on their marketing ploy. Now it seems they , Bennet ant least are back peddling what it was. Seems they should have gotten their stories straight.

ETA- Seems even former host Steve Bryant says on his page how poorly exacuted this concept was . Hoping qvc learns form their mistakes. Along the lines of good idea, poor exacution,

Lots of companies do similar campaigns, but few have done so poorly with the execution as this recent one from QVC.

I thought it was interesting how some of the hosts seemed to be complaining about not getting invited to go to Vegas or having to cover other hosts' shifts since those hosts were in Vegas.  There were comments on air about the under 50 crowd being left out.  Overall, it seemed like some sour grapes and not every host was on board, so I agree they needed a unified message.

@1tuffcookie   I would consider the hosts that were not in Vegas lucky.  Why would they want their name associated with such a fiasco?
