@Spurt I made the mistake of reading this at work which meant I had to keep my head down so they didn't hear me laughing.

Yeah here it comes again indeed!  Like those kitties, I can recite the argan oil story, too  so I guess I should raise my hand.

Going to take a pass on QVC for the whole weekend.  I actually do plan to do some Christmas shopping this weeken but it won't be with the Q.  I already have some items in mind and it won't be a Dyson, a Sleep Number bed or a vitamix and nope, it won't even be argan oil - although I do like some of those products.  I just am not inclined to buy from QVC these days.

That snake with a Santa hat.  Wowee.  That was a surprise for sure.

Hope you all have a great weekend.  Saturday is supposed to be a nice warm day but the cold and wind is expected on Sunday so get ready for the brrrr but then again, it is mid-November and begrudgingly I suppose it is supposed to get cold.

@GinaV24

Hey GINA...

Glad you liked the post....and hope it didnt get you in trouble at work Smiley Wink

Well it looks like we traded weather patterns at least for Saturday....the weather here this weekend is GORGEOUS----highs in the 50's, lows in the 30's ---actual fall like weather (of course who knows how long it will last)........

I'm also passing on QVC this weekend.....this evening we are going to a local college here, that has a ceremony called LIGHT THE WAY....what they do is decorate every single tree and bush on campus as well as their dorms with multi-colored lights....it's SPECTACULAR!!!  To get in everyone donates a new toy that is donated to a local charity...They have a pre-lighting ceremony with a choir  ...so nice event to kickoff the season!!!

There are lots of other upcoming events but those dont start until the day after Thanksgiving......

These days my gift shopping is very limited--so far there is a group gift several of us are going in on.....for.a friend's daughter that got her first apartment, we are all chipping in to get her a Ninja (the cheap model)....and nope it will not be purchased from QVC.....sorry Q---- cheaper locally....There are a couple of gifts for co-workers......and I may get a "stocking stuffer" (token gift) for a couple of long time close friends.......and a little something for my sis....that's it...short list...I don't exchange gifts with other relatives,(some have passed on, others not interested in gift exchange no small kids in family anymore), my brother, SIL, niece and nephews live out of state---we just exchange Christmas cards....

P.S. Maybe if you write the Argan Discovery Story down and send it to Santa he will bring you a special gift

The cats look disgusted and embarrassed in their Christmas outfits. They're probably thinking up some kind of revenge. I like the snake in the Santa hat. I'm probably in the minority, but I think reptiles are neat. There should be more pictures of them, along with the cats, dogs and birds.

It's too early for me to think about Christmas shopping. I always wait until after Thanksgiving. And never on the Friday after! I wouldn't risk my life going out in the crowds. I have to work that day, anyway. So I won't be watching the Q, either.

@teganslaw

Yep, those kitties gotta be thinking of revenge after being forced to model Christmas attire......

As far as reptiles---who knew anyone would think to dress them up for the holidays--- I do like the little green lizards we have here that eat those nasty bugs....I don't mind the big toads I see occasionally around my home after a rain storm ..(my sis is scared of reptiles).......Now snakes are another story.....A friend who lives out in the country took her shot gun and blew the head off a snake that ate a baby squirrel and was looking to harm her chickens....My NBA Spur's players put out a calendar each year, the proceeds go to charity, it features the players and their families and pets in a casual setting....So usually you see players with their wives, kids, and dogs.... know Tony Parker likes cats (he's done community projects at an Animal Shelter with kids that volunteer to help take care of the animals)....Danny Green proudly showed off is pet, a snake.  His girlfriend was also in the photo....I guess she doesn't mind snakes ......LOL!!!!

I know what you mean about Black Friday---I've always avoided shopping the day after Thanksgiving---even when I was part of big gift exchanges with relatives and friends---I

took a few days off of work to avoid the crowds and always shopped early during the week.....these days, many relatives has passed away so gift giving is very limited and quickly completed....

And who knows what kind of mood I will be in the day after Thanksgiving this year, since my Redskins play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.......

Have a good weekend!

@Spurt -- wow that Light the Way celebration sounds wonderful.  Hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Saturday was great and I had a super day but Sunday was windy and cold - a 28 degree temperature drop with wind makes it feel really cold so I stayed inside, made soup and an applie pie.  the pie is for Thanksgiving so it was nice to get a heads start on it.

then sat around watching football and catching up on some of my magazines.  Found a recipe for a peppermint cookie that I want to try out and see if it is a keeper.

The campus was beautiful and the Light The Way celebration even had fireworks this year ......but boy was it crowded.....and the traffic getting in and out OYYYYY!!!!  It's just a small college with a small outdoor stadium.....

With the weather turning chilly making soup and baking and apple pie sounds like a good activity.....but gee won't someone want to sample the pie before Thursday......I know I would LOL  Woman Wink  Thats the only problem with cooking ahead......That peppermint cookie sounds good.....I bought some peppermint chocolate coffee.....

Our weather got warmer Woman Tongue  but another cool front is supposed to come in....but the problem is rain is coming with it.....and that will ruin some of the weekend Holiday festivities.....but we will see...the weather people have been wrong a lot....
