Re: Q DID WHAT? MORE NEWS ON QVC'S FINANCIAL RESULTS

@Spurt LOL Cedar water is brown, sort of the color of a strong brewed tea.  I don't mind most of the time but I don't like floating things and there was a lot of dreck in the water along with the fact that my white shirt would have never been the same (silly me for wearing that color anyway).

We did have a good time.  My 8 foot kayak just fits inside my truck.  Of course that means I ride alone since the passenger's seat has to be pulled all the way up but it works and it means I don't have to figure out how to put it on top of the truck.  Even with running boards hefting an 8 foot 35 lb object over my head into a rack is going to be complicated.

I'm still playing with it figuring out the getting in and out of it which is actually so far the biggest challenge.  I have an idea of how I want to try and get in but I haven't been able to try it because I have too many people "helping".  My pride says I don't want to fall in, good sense says it will happen eventually so get it over with.  I have a feeling I'm going to have to bug my brother into going with me because I know what I want to try and my friend (although she is trying to help) is actually interfering by not letting me try what I want.  My brother would let me experiment - fall in if that's what it took but fish me out if I needed help.  I don't really want to try this w/o a spotter so to speak.

Re: Q DID WHAT? MORE NEWS ON QVC'S FINANCIAL RESULTS

I get  pet food at Petsmart, Petco, and Walmart or Publix, depending on what I need,  who has what on sale that week, and whether or not I have a coupon. I also order Royal Canin's breed-specific food for our Yorkie puppies from Petco.com, because it's $5 less per bag from the  website, has free shipping (with a code), and I get a 10% kickback from Discover via Discover Deals.

Re: Q DID WHAT? MORE NEWS ON QVC'S FINANCIAL RESULTS

We live in Florida -- I have no need for most of the clothing the Q is selling throughout most of the year. Being retired, I have no need for dressy clothing, either. Give me a pair of shorts and a tank top 8 months out of the year and I'm happy.

Re: Q DID WHAT? DECLINE IN WOMENS CLOTHING SALES

Did they say what kind of changes they're making to Easy Pay?

Re: Q DID WHAT? DECLINE IN WOMENS CLOTHING SALES

I used to buy the occasional clothing item from the Q (D&C, plus Dialogue and Centigrade when we lived in NJ -- the Centigrade down coat I bought was one of the best coats I've ever owned -- warm, comfortable, well-made. I donated it to a thrift store when we retired and moved to Florida).  I buy very little now. I can't stand SG and LOGO (sorry, but LOGO looks like it's been designed for a ragamuffin, with all those layers), and with the exception of a few items, D&C has gotten waaaay too expensive (the hoodie I keep in the car for the movies is a D&C -- the only thing I find wrong with it is the lack of pockets). I have a Mizrahi sweater and a JR boyfriend shirt my husband bought for me, and that's about it.

I don't even bother tuning in on Mondays because it's nothing but fashion.

Re: Q DID WHAT? DECLINE IN WOMENS CLOTHING SALES

I bought my latest KitchenAid mixer from the Q last year on Black Friday weekend. I'd love to shop at Costco -- but the closest one is over a 90-minute drive -- one way (back in NJ, we had four within a half hour). A large part of Florida (the stretch from Jacksonville down to the Orlando area -- Orlando has THREE warehouses and another is currently under construction) is ignored by Costco, and no one can figure out why. You'd think they'd have one near The Villages, at least, or in Ocala.
