Product reviews that complain about shipping

Ok, we know there have been many shipping issues, that’s a given. I’ve noticed more frequently people are giving a one star review on a product when they are really complaining about shipping. You should be rating the product, not the shipping. It’s not at all helpful when you are trying to get information about the product and decide on the purchase. Complaints about shipping should go to CS, not a product review. If you give a one star, it skews what might be a perfectly good product. If people see a lower overall rating and don’t read the reviews, they are less likely to purchase what might be a great product - Just sayin’

@lizzief

I agree with you. What about those who write a review and state that they won't buy the product due to one reason or another...usually cost. I don't know how they manage to get their review up. I've bought 2 and 3 of the same product and tried to review again, giving a glowing review no less, and get a message stating I've reviewed already. Go figure.

Re: Product reviews that complain about shipping

I think it is an injustice to a product when a reviewer says nothing about the product performance or other product qualities & complains about the shipping experience instead.  Those types of reviews should be disqualified & not posted.

Perhap they need to monitor the reviews with the same scrutiny they do the comments here!

Re: Product reviews that complain about shipping

@lizzief  I've been complaining about this forever. A lot of reviews have zero to do with the actual product, and their poor ratings are unjust! That's why you need to read every review and not rely solely on its 'star rating'. It irked me to see a foundation get a 1-Star rating from someone who admittedly purchased the wrong shade! Why leave a review at all?! How does it relate to the product's performance or appearance?!

If I were a vendor getting low ratings for things other than the product itself, I would not be too happy. Does QVC need to explain how to review an item?! As others have mentioned, maybe they need to be deleted.

And let's not get started on the reviews from people who don't even own the product...

Re: Product reviews that complain about shipping

I read a review this morning that actually said they thought it looked like a great product.  They added that they couldn't actually review it because they didn't have it.  Then they gave it a four star rating.

I agree that I hate non review reviews. That said the shipping complaints just proves how bad shipping is with QVC. The really should fix the issue because no matter how good the product is if it takes forever to get to the customer they won't be happy.

Re: Product reviews that complain about shipping

I always read the negative reviews very carefully.  As pointed out, some of the reviews have nothing to do with the product itself and sometimes is not even referring to the correct product.  The reviews can be very misleading.
