I have noticed that some "as is" items or items marked down really low are suddenly sold out when there is free shipping.

The next day the items are suddenly back in stock again.  Coincidence?  I think not.

I have noticed that as well.....

Kachina624. Maybe you could stop reprimanding people who think this is a place to openly discuss the things they like or have issues with.  Its constant

Many times if the price goes up on free shipping days, (I haven't seen it on my specific items), but I always check my pricing on what I purchased on free shipping days.  In the past month, I got about $22 refunded from my 30 day price adjustments.

I especially check if there is a home decor day, or all cooking day, or beauty day, that is when it would most likely have a lower price.  No, $22 wasn't a big amount, but a quick email, and it's worth checking for the refund.  I rarely buy on a non free shipping day, but at least if I do, that $22 would have paid 3 or 4 shipping charges.  Honestly, this social team really responds fast.

I have thought that more than once, @Kachina624 and I think that is a great way to save $$ without the games. I pay for S/H nearly everywhere other than on Amazon Prime and fully expect to do so.

Re: Price changes and free shipping

@We rescue cats   I rarely pay for shipping from any retailer.  I mostly buy only on free shipping days.

I also figured out how to get free shipping from some retailers.  I put my items in the cart, fill out the information such as my name and address, then abandon the cart.  The retailer more times than not will send me an email offering me free shipping to complete my order.

Of course this doesn't work with QVC, but it 100% does work for their sister company Garnet Hill.

@Carmie.  I've heard of your cart abandonment before and have often tried it.  I've never gotten an offer of a lower price.

@Kachina624   I never got a lower price doing that with one exception, but I have received free shipping.

It works always 100% with Garnet Hill, sometimes with Christopher and Banks and Etsy and a few other places.

E-bay usually gives me a discount if something is placed on my watch list.

Here's an example....I put sheets in my cart showing  shipping cost with Garnet Hill. Two hours later I got an e-mail offering free shipping of $14.95.  Showing cart and e-mail received screen shots.

Re: Price changes and free shipping

They do that every time there's a free shipping day or just on the special items where free shipping is offered. It's done on a lot of Temp-Tations items on free shipping days. Even during cooking day specials.

Re: Price changes and free shipping

QVC actually did a refund for the difference of raising the price on an item on a free shipping day?
