I just noticed my post count but wonder if that includes the ones from threads that get poofed. Does anyone know? Just curious.

@ThinkingOutLoud Absolutely no idea, but I haven't looked at my own number or what kind of poster they have labelled me.

I do know that any number of posts that were made on deleted threads can't be big for me.  I have been on deleted threads but only once in a while and there really aren't all that great a percentage of them anyway, so in a week (or longer even) I might never have been deleted.

BTW-  I often see a thread started and say to myself that it's going to be deleted.  I'm rarely wrong.  I do miss some threads that start out innocent and become controversial because of the direction they go, but that's different from those that are pretty obvious infractions of policy.

No matter -  I like that the site is monitored.  If I want wide open argument, there are so so many other places to go.

Hi, @ThinkingOutLoud!   This question comes up now and then.

Our post count does include those that were removed -- it reflects the number of posts we've created/published, not the number we can view.

For this reason, some usernames have profiles and post counts, but there are no posts listed in their profile.

I think some posters aren't aware that "removed" posts and threads still do exist -- just not accessible to us, since they've been relocated to another area of the website.

When you click on any deleted thread title, you'll see that the moderator's notation says "Moved:" followed by a hyperlink.   If you click on that link, you'll see at the top of the page "QVC: Blogs & Forums: Moderator Folders: Deleted Posts".  So...  that's the long version of the answer to your question!🙃   Sorry it's long, hope it was helpful!   Have a lovely day!😊

Thanks, I never knew that.  I always assumed the deleted posts literally went "poof!" into oblivion! 💥

I guess I should know better.  Nothing ever really dies on the internet.

It really doesn't matter one way or the other does it?

No it doesn't, @Pook - that's why I said I was just curious. Not everything has to be so serious all the time. That's my take anyway, but perhaps not yours.

You're welcome, @geezerette!  "Nothing ever really dies on the internet."  That's a fact, isn't it.   All that "stuff" hanging around in archives and such, probably most of it never again needed or used.
