Poor Order Processing and Shipping Times

One of my major beefs with this company is how loooong it takes to process their orders, and then how looooong it takes to ship their orders to Oregon.

Just recently I placed several orders...one on 5/31 which "shows" that it finally shipped on 6/3. Mind you, this item was presented on TV the day I ordered it...so it wasn't buried somewhere in the clearance warehouse. And even though it shows "shipped", according to the tracking status on Q's site, as well as the UPS site, it's only "in transit to UPS facility". Since 6/3 (Monday). This is out of Newport News, VA.

And another order placed on 6/3 actually was processed and "shipped" (!!!) on 6/4, but it too is only showing the "in transit to UPS facility" since 6/4. This one is out of East Petersburg, PA. So it's NOT a problem in just one warehouse facility location.

These delays are such a common occurence, that when my QVC orders are processed, shipped and received in a total of 7 days, I want to throw a party! And yet every other online company I do business with can have their orders to me anywhere from the day after I placed my order (Zappos), to two days (Amazon), to 5 days or less (HSN), to 7 days or less (Lands End), to name just a few.

AND QVC HAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE SHIPPING FOR THE SLOWEST PROCESSING/HANDLING!!!! Talking about adding insult to injury!

Before anyone says I'm crazy to shop here...you're right. And I have greatly curtailed how much I buy from QVC due to this reason. Where I had done MOST of my shopping here (since 1989), now I buy only what I can't find somewhere else. But it still bugs me that they just can't seem to get a handle on this whole process. Or is it they just don't care?

Who knows...but I just felt the need to vent over this. Obviously if they DO care, then I would suggest they take a look at their processes and figure out why they can't do what what so many of their competitors are able to do so much more promptly and efficiently.

But I do want to say that for the most part, I still love QVC's front-line Customer Service Department.

Thanks for bearing with me with my rant. {#emotions_dlg.crying}
