I always wonder, while I'm watching the fashion shows, WHY do they have XS and S models showing all the outfits??? When we are told that the average women is a size 12 or larger....Of course all those clothes look good on these tall and thin models... Why oh why don't they show a few size 12 or larger women model these outfits along side the XS models... I want to know what it will look like on ME!!!! I'm not a XXS or XS OR S size women. I'm a plus size woman and I'd like to see what "I" would look like in these outfits... PLUS ..... IF you want to sell to everyone...show everyone ... not just the tall and thin...

My rant is done...thank you very much ...{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

You forgot to rant about the fact that not only are the models all XXS-S, they're all pushing 6' tall. I'm 5' 1/2" tall........so they're no help in that department either!!! Everything looks good on 6' tall, 105 lb. women, I'm guessing!!!??? {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Every fashion show I've seen on QVC has plus size models as well as missy size models.

Denim & Co. is starting to represent just about all heights and sizes, but the other clothing shows are lacking. SG had a plus size model on all day, but that is rare, she said the model lives too far away to come for just one show. I'm sure Rebecca is not the only 1x model in the area. I will not buy fashions that my body type is not represented, I can't tell you how much I've spent on returns and I'm done.

"Large" is in the eye of the beholder. To many, a size 16 or 18 or a 1X is "large", but IMO, not very. I want to see 2X models at least. QVC doesn't really want customers to see the 2X and 3X models, because of all of the clothes they are pushing desperately, esp. their "designer" (hahaha) lines, maybe 60% of them look decent on a truly large woman. There is no way they really want you to see that. Yet they clearly sell a lot of clothing to 3X women. And then there is the fact that if they do show a 2X model, the self-described "normal" women will be icked out that they might be wearing something a "fat woman" would also buy. Poor QVC.

Prejudice regarding weight is one of the last prejudices to still be socially acceptable.

Now just think..............before you say that isn't true. Would you feel comfortable having size 2x or 3x models showing the fashions? Oh? ARE there many 2x and 3x models in the industry?

Think of all the jokes about "fat" or "obese" people you've heard. Many Americans equate being fat with being lazy and untrustworthy. Employers will deny jobs to an otherwise highly qualified applicant. What's worse is that the employer will get away with that type of discrimination.

We can't judge people based on their s*x, religion, ethnicity, race, or sexual orientation. But jokes and prejudice about weight are alive and well in our society.

We diminish ourselves whenever we exclude and "put down" someone else.

Same here. Also the models may xxs, xs or small but they don't truly represent customers as most of us that size are not 5' 10". I guess we are lucky that QVC uses models and I realize they cannot represent every one of us, but seeing them does give us some idea how the fashions look. They look much better than the photos on the website or on a hanger.
