I'm pretty sure it's an aquamarine. Appears to be cloudy it could be the cut of the stone or needs a good cleaning.

It may be the picture, but I think it's too green to be aquamarine and the coloration is too deep.  It's my birthstone and my pieces are very pale blue.  Rarely see bold acquamarine stones.

Aquamarine stones come in a variety of shades. One time I saw an aqua stone that was so intense blue that I thought it was a blue sapphire.

Patricia's birthday is in March.  It is an aquamarine.  It is beautiful and I always notice it as I love aquamarine. Even though my birthday is in April - diamond - my first fine jewelry piece was an aquamarine when I was thirteen. I still wear it and it is very blue in a marquise shape, approximatly three carats with small diamonds on each side.
