Why do all of the female hosts (and a few of the males) refer to pants or shoes as "pant" or "shoe?" The last time I checked, most of us had two feet and to legs. It's EXTREMELY annoying...it's like everyone these days are trying to sound so "CHIC" (LMAO), cool or hip. It's really not attractive folks!

Garment industry terminology

Try not to let little things bother you.
Terminology and pronunciation vary all over the country. I can go 2 hours south and hear a whole different dialect.
My dad has PhDs in Engish and History and taught his whole life. He taught us to not judge or worry about how someone pronounces words because they may be from another part of the country, world, or industry.

I couldn't care less what a salesperson says. Put in perspective it's a technique and sales pitch.

Yes, @Drewps5co0tt, it is somewhat annoying.`
Similar to saying "truck" when referring to more than one truck....and "product" referring to products.
It's a reflection on those using it...OK or incorrect. If we're more proper English oriented, we may see it as incorrect English.

It has always been commonly used in the apparel industry. If you're not an industry insider, don't worry about it.
