It is true that a USPS won't print out your label. I once went to a usps who sent me to a staples to print out the label who yes charged me for it.
I may be wrong but I think maybe instead of generational is it people who "shop" and order a lot all the time and returning is not a big deal? They have a UPS or USPS nearby, have a printer and everything needed just like an office though not at an office, don't work at a job all day, don't have lots of little kids etc etc., are not single parents etc.
Shopping is a joy, a neccessity, or an obsession. whatever it is,
for some it is no problem to return, for others it really is and QVC and other retailers make it difficult and frustrating for many others. Maybe they save money not sending return labels and maybe they don't save enough to lose some customers.I guess they will find out.

@Catch71I’m far from being a senior citizen and I prefer the label and paperwork. If you work full time you don’t want to be running to UPS or the post office on your free time. So this issue is not generational.
Sorry, I disagree. My daughters work full time and spend time returning things all over, Target, Amazon, old Navy, Nordstroms. And, you may not agree but in my opinion, this forum is full of seniors who have the time to be on here. My daughters would never waste time on a qvc forum because they are too busy. Also, most households under 65 have a printer if they can afford one. This forum is probably 95% seniors with nothing better to do. If you work full time and run around with children you are not reading this forum complaining about the price of ink for a printer. Sorry to rant. Have a nice day.

You don't need a printer. Do you have a smartphone? If so they can email you a qr code that you take to the UPS or Post Office and they will scan it and print a label for you for free.
I can assure you that the post office employees in my zip code are not willing to scan and print anything for customers!
I believe it is their job. I would report them.

My local post office is THE BEST. Whenever people in these forums complain about issues with their service, I feel sad for them because I always receive prompt, courteous, efficient service from my local office and the neighborhood carriers.
However, even though the office is a good size, they are unable to support the new QR approach to returns—they simply do not have the resources (physical and human). And honestly, as is the case for most post office hubs, prepaid returns are simply not a priority; the office is fine with serving as a drop-off point, but since every other aspect of the return process is handled by a third party, they cannot justify additional costs or potential issues that might affect their established services.

Wow; guess I am lucky. 🍀 thought all post offices offered the same services but I have never lived in a rural area. I am not in a city but a middle class suburb and even with one employee on, they will scan the code for me. When you say they are unable to scan the code is it because they are understaffed or don't have a scan system available.

@RescueLover Both Pak Mail & UPS stores have charged me to print QR code labels so add on to the $6.95 + original shipping another charge.

@San Antonio Gal- I never get packing slips/return labels when my items ship from Pa. When items ship from Ontario, Ca. I always get them.
