Packing slips/labels not needed

I always receive a packing slip with my Q orders - along with the self-adhesive return slip.   I wish they would save themselves money and stop sending them.

Other retailers don't send them such as Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc.

In the rare event I have to return something, it's very easy to just print a slip.

Not if you don't have a printer!

@San Antonio Gal   lol  You may be the first Forum poster to make that request, but there are no prizes for being the first.  Sorry

One can always log into your QVC account and follow the instructions for returning said product, when it's at the stage to print it, take a photo of it and go to your local ups store, show them the photo on your phone, ups person will take it from there.

I do that when I return an Amazon item and return it to Kohl's.

One could also do it when UPS comes to your home to pick up an item.

Re: Packing slips/labels not needed

I typically get packing slips with my orders and they're very welcome when a return is needed; I absolutely hate using the online system because it wastes ink and paper. The format is ridiculous: Page 1 is half filled with overly detailed instructions on a dark grey background that would never need to be printed—except the gigantic label is provided on the other half of the page; Page 2 uses just 1/3 of the space for a little section that contains the return slip, which also has grey background printing plus colored text and a logo. They could easily consolidate all of that onto a single page to minimize waste, or they could at least put the instructions on their own page so the customer would only need to print one sheet of paper (ideally in black and white only) and then cut it in half.

(Don't get me started on the stupidly low character limit for the return reason.)

And I know QR codes are now offered to avoid printing return labels, but they don't work well on my phone and don't offer reliable tracking, so they're not a viable option.

So, long story short, I hope QVC continues to include return labels in shipments!

@Alsace Gal   Not everyone has a smartphone. DH and I use our 24 yr old basic flip phones we got a month after we got married. Never had a need/desire to upgrade.

@San Antonio Gal   And not everyone owns a printer.

There is no local UPS store in my area...nearest one is an hour away.  IF I have a label I can drop off a package at CVS but it must have a label.

Re: Packing slips/labels not needed

I like receiving the invoice/return label.  I use the invoice portion when reconciling my charges and credits on my credit card statement and when returning just put the invoice portion in the package, stick on the label, put the package by my mailbox on the porch and the postman takes it to the postoffice.  Easy, peasy.

Yes, but who wants to waste printer ink on a return label. Printer ink for my HP printer is over $100 for a pak of 4 cartridges. I prefer QR codes.

Besides, if you've read this forum you will have noticed many complain about not getting a label to return their order.

I could  not disagree more.  I prefer receiving the packing slip with the return label as I have no printer and don't get me started on that QR code business.
