Packing is lacking

[ Edited ]

I received a Dennis Basso mid calf length (on me) faux fur coat today - great as is price.

It's absolutely gorgeous.  The way it was packed though not so much.  It was stuffed - and I mean stuffed - into the usual clear bag then stuffed so tightly into an outer plastic bag I was afraid to cut it to open it for fear of cutting the item.  The coat was not affected in any way.  But I just think this is so disrespectful to Dennis' gorgeous coat not to mention to me the customer.  And this was not because it's "as is."  I ordered another color in this coat - new - and it was packed similarly though not quite as bad.

I also received a big box of 4 other items today.  I don't appreciate the one big box.  If they're going to combine items they should combine shipping - not charge for each item.  Furthermore what if I want to return two or more items?  I don't like to do this as there's no way to track more than one  item since you're using one shipping label and only that item gets tracked.  Plus I'd have to provide my own boxes or bags.

I have gotten Dennis' coats delivered like you said in the past year. His coats used to come nicely wrapped in a box.
I imagine this kind of delivery cuts down on cost on qvc's end. Seems like they are cutting corners to stay alive.

yes, remember the oversized  box  , the DB hanger & garment bag  for his coats/jackets. No more .

Don't know if his company or QVC  stopped  them being packed that way.

Normally the QVC white plastic bag (if this is what it came in) has a place to open on one side of the bag, so NO need for scissors.

Believe me  @debfau I'm all too familiar with the QVC bags - this one was not made that way.

No matter how the plastic bag opens, the coat is in a ball. Something sold as high quality by a red carpet designer should not be shipped this way.

@skatting44 Loved my first couple washable suede jackets from DB over 15 yrs ago. They were so elegantly packed and as a few noted with a garment bag and DB hanger. My guess, it is the shipping $. The box would make it larger as shipping is not always a weight thing it can be a box size, the hanger is harder to pack, so Q likely cut it out and crams into a plastic bag.
