Packaging material on Valery Parr Hill items

About 4-5 years ago, I decided I wouldn't order any more of Valerie's items because of cheap Styrofoam. It dissolves into little balls and if it's an item you may want to store in the Styrofoam, you can't. But the house is a mess, it's absolutely disintegrating when you pull it even a tiny bit to remove it from the packing box. Extracting your item from the box is excruciating. Then for a while, I started getting better Styrofoam on Valerie's items, so I kept ordering. Now the last two items I received were the cheap stuff again. I'm sorry, I love you Valerie, but whoever is making decisions on this cheap stuff is not doing you any favors. For the price of shipping and handling on QVC's items, I don't expect this. I started taking things outside to open it was so bad, but then there is Styrofoam outside where it could possible hurt wildlife.

QVC - please stop packaging items in that stuff! I won't order any more that's how bad it is. I've received other items this year that were fine - some were Valerie's and some were other companies. If I can contact Valerie on FB I will. I feel this is an insult to someone who has spent good money on an item.

Oh my gosh, it is SO messy... Her items tend to be packaged very securely, but what a mess you get to clean up after unpacking!

Re: Packaging material on Valery Parr Hill items

I agree with you on that messy Styrofoam. I guess I never paid attention to the fact that most of the mess comes from my VPH packages.

The last item I purchased from her line was packaged to the hilt and yet the item was totally broken. It could not have broken in shipping because it was very secure. It seemed like it was sent out broken.

Even though I really wanted the figurine I wasn't going to take a chance on ordering a replacement.

It's disappointing to look forward to receiving an item only to have to repackage it and ship it back to QVC.

Re: Packaging material on Valery Parr Hill items

While I love her items, I had problems with the pedestals as a few sets arrived damaged/broken and had to be sent back. Perhaps the Styrofoam isn't good enough and the glass items need to be packaged better. I did complain about this and the customer service person said she could pass on to who is in charge to put fragile on the boxes. I don't know if that would help but something needs to improve. I do agree about the Styrofoam, it is very messy.
