My package that lingered in the Oka Locka, FL facility for four days finally made its way back to New England and to my mailbox.  And it only took 11 days!

And my UPS packages (including a perishable food) finally arrived last night after 9:30 P.M.  Luckily I looked outside just before 10:00, as I was shutting off the lights for the night.

It's below freezing here at night (polar vortex) and my PTR toiletries wouldn't have survived the night.  The bagels were stale or looked like they'd frozen and started to thaw again.  There was moisture in the plastic bags, but the bagels were really hard.

I've requested a refund for those (hasn't come through yet).

I wouldn't be ordering anything now that I'd need for Christmas, despite all the Q's promises that things will arrive before then.

My USPS pkg. was mailed by me 11/17...I've mentioned this before..It still says "delayed".. and tracking says it's still in the same place since 11/18.. it's now 12/14.

Just filled out a form..and the best is..I mailed a large postal money order in that pkg...I have to PAY $21 to have them stop the money orrder!..They lost it I didn't!

When my kids come to visit I am going to give them their gifts for the year.

My Pkg. still hasn't moved since Nov.!..Filed a claim and sent everything to MO..Dec. 17..no word yet..The lost money order that was in the pkg. has to be filed in the local post office and they needed ID...Did that..no word..BECAUSE.. THEY never put it through! Called them on Jan. 6..The "post master" looked and found the filled out form in a pile of papers on the desk!

Between USPS and UPS my patience is wearing thin..Maybe they should go back to using Pony Express instead of computers and people who can't or won't read!..End of rant for today.

In 2026, UPS is set to lay off 67 workers at a facility in Wyoming and 71 at a food plant in Battle Creek, Michigan, as part of a broader trend of job cuts affecting over 2,200 workers across various sectors in the U.S. These layoffs are permanent and follow significant workforce reductions throughout 2025, where UPS let go of around 48,000 employees.
