I don't watch the age programming. I'm mostly a home decor person.

The part I don't understand is QVC is trying to attract younger viewers. A twenty-something or thirty-something shopper is not going to be enticed to shop at QVC with all the 50+ programming, Menopause Monday shows, and commercials talking about what happens to that person when they laugh. Instead, all those things are advertising to a younger crowd that this is not the place for them.

Perhaps QVC has decided to not try for younger customers and instead will be the place to shop for a more seasoned customer base.

It's like beating a dead horse as far as the Q goes.  I actually find these shows offensive.

My two cents on aging.

When I was young, I worked out, did Pilates, had the body.  I was 5'2 and wore a size four/six for years.  I had beautiful thick, wavy hair down to my waist.  I thought, I got this.  It isn't going to happen to me.

Fast forward through the 50's.  The thickness around my abdomen shocked me!  I could run miles, keep doing what I always did.  Wouldn't budge.  Changed diet, kept putting on pounds not losing.  Hair styles just didn't look as good anymore.  Didn't realize until my ponytail shrank that my hair wasn't as thick!

Bottom line, things change beyond our control.  It's aging and you learn to accept that it did happen to you.  At least I did.  QVC can't help me.

I think the whole idea of the over 50 thing would have gone over better if it was not still hanging on as a weekly show..maybe a few months would have been better.

I'm not a part of this long list of 'Debbie Downers' pertaining to this complaint.

I just turned 66 and this is a non-issue.

QVC programming titles to or mentioning 50 or over just is not a trigger for me.

There are certainly much bigger/more serious issues to get one upset/unhappy about...

Lastly, I think these shows are actually quite fun...

Watching the over 50 show with Mally & Shawn right now.  Smiley Very Happy

This is my unsolicited opinion. @Coastalcarolina  Is right on the money. Sometimes the problem .is many of us look good in our youth, and don't start early enough with some skin care and habits.  (Me). Because we think, we aren't going to get "there". lol!   I do think some of the few things that can help make aging better are these.

Have a good attitude,

be grateful everyday

Be active, and do some exercise daily.

Start in your youth with skin care, not 50!

laugh

dont smoke

limit drinking

get your calcium, D, and vitamins

keep connected

use retin A at 35

when all else fails....take a deep sigh, and go with the flow. ...if needed, wanted

botox

fillers

lol

QVC is a train wreck waiting to happen!  There is no class on this station anymore....all crazy, silly, entertaining, etc.

I've been around long enough to have seen better days.

Over 50? ...Menopause Monday...really?  QVC is not attracting new customers....losing more.

Aging men go through hormonal changes too. I think the older male hosts and vendors should be encouraged to talk about their body parts and how they don't function like they used to, low libidos, weight gain and pot bellies that are hard to control, receding hairlines and graying hair that now requires coloring...Shawn just said the "V" word is her new favorite word to say in public and is ok with it if it embarrasses others. Can you imagine if we had to listen to David or Rick talk about their "Ps"?
