Ordered a sweater a week ago and order status says in process.  I got a UPS notification this morning saying it will be arriving tomorrow from my local post office.  What's up with QVC's order status?

Re: Order Status

[ Edited ]

I'm usually bombarded with emails, "Your package has been shipped", couple days later "your package will be arriving soon" then when delivered I'm notified again. I believe this is just a small glitch with your order @Whispergirl . I would think your post would be more excited that it was shipped and not still in the order process.

Sometimes I receive an e-mail that my order has shipped.  And sometimes my order arrives the same day as the email.  More often I am in limbo wondering if my order has really shipped, or is it still "in progress."

Consistency would be appreciated.

@cjm61 same with the emails for me. I check tracking around the second day and the emails keep me informed until it's delivered. Some talk about too many emails but I don't mind. @Whispergirl I know you were so surprised. That happens a lot and not just with QVC.

My order status says, Exception,  package may be delayed blah blah blah.  It was shipped via Mail Innovations (which I hate) on October 12, I purchased the item on October 9. it also states  Mail Innovations is not  a day definite service.  That is eleven days since my purchase and no delivery date in sight.  Last time my order was shipped through Mail Innovations I never received it.  We'll see.

@Whispergirl.  One of the shippers, probably UPS,  did not update the tracking when they picked up your order for transport.

Believe it or not, I got an email that QVC was going to charge me for a refund on a pair of jeans I returned over TWO MONTHS AGO, saying they never received them.

Because my husband was in a physical therapy facility for over 4 months, I couldn't recall if I put the pair of jeans in the same bag as another return at the time, and told them that.

I also asked them why would you wait for months to ask me this?  And then they wanted to charge me for the jeans!

I argued with them, QVC is going off the rails. LOL

I never rely on QVC's tracking system; even when they regularly update order details, there's a chance the section of the website where you can view them will experience some kind of error that prevents access (not sure why that happens so often with the Order Status section in particular).

I highly recommend signing up for USPS Informed Delivery and UPS MyChoice (and FedEx Delivery Manager, if you get packages through that courier) so you will always be up to date about packages headed to your address. All of these services are free, easy to sign up for, and provide delivery status updates and alerts:

USPS: https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action
UPS: https://www.ups.com/us/en/services/tracking/mychoice.page
FedEx: https://www.fedex.com/en-us/delivery-manager.html

And if you're interested, you could choose to sign up for UPS MyChoice Premium, which allows you to automatically have SurePost packages delivered via UPS without the handoff to the USPS. It costs $19.99 per year, but if you have a lot of packages coming via this service, it could be worth the cost to receive your deliveries a bit more quickly. The upgrades don't work for UPS Innovations packages, but I've had the Premium service for a few years now, and it seems like I am more likely to have those packages avoid the handoff to the USPS than in the past. (And you can easily enter the UPS Innovations numbers in your account tracking so their status in transit is less nebulous.)
