I don't have a Q card and don't want one but it's through Synchrony bank who also handles JCPenney payments.  They are a pain in the you know what to deal with.

I tried to open a QVC card once because it was the only way I

could get easy pay on a particular top.  I gave my information to

the customer service lady, and she told me I was not approved.

My credit score is about as high as one can get and I always

pay off my card each month.  I was pretty certain they turned

me down in spite of that because I am 85.  Just saying.  I felt

insulted, having never been turn down before.  I have two cards

and only use one.  A week or so later, I received papers they

asked me to fill out before receiving a QVC card.  I threw them

away.

I must say the way the hosts push the Qcard is more than

annoying.  It's serious pushing.  And often now the only way

to get easy pay on an item is with the Qcard.

Besides all that, prices have risen rapidly...too rapidly.  I

don't think people are buyig because of that as demontrated

by the  blitz of sales we are seeig in the last two months.

I am one of those who have tempered my purchases and the

Qcard issue didn't help.

Obviously you are a responsible adult @w2orjetdoc.  These posts really make me SMH as no one forces a person to apply🙄

Whats the purpose of these posts?

I had a Q card years ago; seldom used easy pay.  I  liked all of my QVC purchases listed on one bill.  (I shopped a lot then.)  Finally I realized the Q card gave me no benefits at all.  Went to using my regular credit card that gives me many benefits.  Will never go back to a Q card and I am tired of them mentioning  applying for one on every show.  (when I got mine there was no cash/credit given when you signed up)

Still working on paying off my Q card. Yes, it is sooo easy to run up a large balance and yes, it is totally on me that this happened! I don't intend to use my Q card any longer and am trying to be much more careful with my purchasing. Received a Lug handbag today and (hopefully) that is it for a while!

@w2orjetdoc wanted to know about other people's experiences, so posters are sharing their experiences and their opinions.  We're responding to her question.  I must be missing something because that seems very clear to me.

Re: No More Q Card For Me

[ Edited ]

@NYC Susan  & @w2orjetdoc

I stand corrected!! - but isn't it obvious when Q hosts are constantly reminding you to use "ez" pay how easy it is to BUY and then get a big bill every month for 4-6 months!  At least this has been my experience -- those $2.99, $5.99, etc.  really add up fast!

My last month ez pay purchases totalled $54.25-yikes! and some were only on 3rd month - I just signed in and paid these off which I like this option.  I went a little ez pay crazy during Christmas in July.

I would think using ANY credit card its the same.  One must realize how quickly the debt can add up -- not just on a Q card.

I have Synchrony bank for many in-store cards (which I always use then pay off right after purchase) as most stores will offer a incentive for using their card.

So, I guess I missed the "point of the post" - its just not Synchrony its every card issuer when a person spends more than they can afford!

And I've never had any problems with Q or other retailers who use Synchrony Bank issued cards.

Yes, that kind of hard sell never works on me.  I think most people know how dangerous credit cards can be.  It's very easy to spend with credit cards, and things can spiral out of control pretty quickly.  That's why being responsible is so important.

I don't think all credit cards are alike, though.  Customer service definitely varies.  The OP said something about the Q's credit card company being very hard to deal with, and I agree!  In my experience, not all credit card companies are alike, and I choose to stay with the ones that make me feel like a valued customer.

I don't know of any store credit card that doesn't have very high interest on their credit card. This isn't exclusive to QVC.
