I just checked the invoice. 

The item was $299.98

TAX                    74.25.  This is 25%. 

Total                 374.23

I'll call CS for explanation but just checking with others.

I didn't order one. Wouldn't the tax be based on which state you live in? You might want to look what your state sales tax is.

If there was s&h for that order then that is also taxed.

Texas sales tax is 8.25% = $24.75 on a item $299.98

@granddi    Do report back -  unless Texas just added some weird tax on smokers I'd think CS should be able to correct what sure looks like an error.

Just double-checked my order and the tax is under $27.  Something is definitely off with your invoice, @granddi.

The stand arrived yesterday.  The grill should be here on Monday.

I know they say everything is bigger in Texas, but that's taking it to extremes!  

(Maybe the vendor accidentally charged you for shipping?)

@granddi   Wondering if they transposed the numbers in error?   74.25......24.75....same numbers just in the wrong order......typo maybe?

Received mine yesterday. I'm in Florida, and they charged me 7%, which is our

sales tax, for a total of $21.00.
