I've posted here several times that GOD forbid if you want to talk to a human.....

I've been on hold before (both cell phone and home phone at the same time for at least 15 minutes....waiting and waiting.

Sometimes I have a question or want to make sure it's being sent to the right place, etc.

They've lost quite a few orders from me because I get tired of waiting.

I was talking to a friend who orders from QVC she said she has the same problem trying to get through.

There isn't anything I really need and I don't buy a lot of specifically Christmas gifts.

I give people things all through the year, so I don't go crazy at Christmas.

I forgot to say I ordered cat food from Chew at 9:30PM on line Friday night.  It came yesterday!  A huge box (2 cases of canned and 4 packages of Sheba)....

Same thing with Amazon!  Last year I ordered a kerosene heater early in the morning and it was at my doorstep the same day late at night.  The same day!

Re: Nice....online ordering down

QVC really needs to change their IT service provider.  There is something major that needs corrected IMO as QVC regularly has issues with the site not working.  I imagine there are management personnel tearing their hair out trying to get the system working again. Seems like the system is not large enough to handle ordering past a certain limit.

Those who say calm down and wait to order until the system is working again evidently are not wondering about the underlying problem that QVC has with their system.  Makes me wonder about the security of our information.    Something is defintely not up to snuff.  In this era of on-line ordering, a company whose site has all the issues QVC has needs to be worrying about staying in business.  Can you just imagine how much money QVC loses when you cannot order on line.  Yes, you can use auto ordering, but this is the technology era and that doesn's help those who want to come to the site to browse and order.

Re: Nice....online ordering down

Some will always defend QVC, make excuses for their dysfunctional on-line operation or point the finger back at customers for lacking patience, but the reality is that QVC's web presence has far too many glitches far too often. It really is somewhat inexcusable for a company that exists to sell to customers wanting to buy.
