On 8/4/2014 cosmic1 said: I agree with kittymomNC. The quality has really gone downhill. I checked and in a ten year period, I had two returns. That was through 2010 or 2011. Since then, the quality has continued to go downhill and I have to return a lot more often due to defective merchandise. The fix is to return to previous levels of quality instead of kicking customers to the curb. They have identified the wrong root cause, IMHO.If I felt that way, I'd quit shopping there. I order a lot and can't remember having to return something because it was defective. Because I carefully check measurements, I rarely have a fitting problem with clothing. I have returned a couple pieces of jewelry due to poor quality, then I quit buying jewelry. Returns are too expensive to keep doing it.

I have pretty much stopped buying because of the defective things I've received, and the incorrect sizing. And I reiterate, INCORRECT sizing. I've ordered things according to the garment measurements and had them actually measure as much as 2 inches different from what the "click here" measurements say they should. That's not my problem, that's QVC's problem. When I ordered the original HOW SMOOTH boot cut jeans, they were a perfect fit - waist, hips, length. Then they IMPROVED them (ha!)...they changed from boot cut (which was what everyone wanted) to a straight leg (which is actually tapered), and changed the rise measurements. According to the garment measurements, the hips and waist were the same. I ordered a Tall (for the rise) in the same size 10 I ordered originally in the boot cut. I ordered 5 pairs and had to return them all. The measurements were way off from what they were supposed to be, and I had to reorder a size 12. That is not MY fault, that is QVC's fault.
And that's why I'm taking a long sabbatical from buying from QVC, other than a couple of Isaac watches I just received - which are NOT defective, thank goodness!

OP: i'm going to ask you, because I don't want this post to be About you: Have you considered that you may have a serious shopping problem?
I remember your post where you bragged about all the high$$ items you bought from QVC over many years.
I believe you said in the past year alone, you had bought about 300 items and returned something like 120. You seemed clueless to the fact, that any retailer on the planet, seeing a pattern like that, would have you red flagged. Not only would you be on a chronic returners list, you'd be making people very nervous, re: your continuing ability to pay for your purchases.
By comparison, I've been a casual shopper with QVC for over 20 Years and haven't come remotely close to buying 300 items in 20 plus years; in fact, i'm sure I havent come close to buying 120 items in that time. If I was so inclined, I could probably remember most of what I've ever had to return.
If you can only afford to buy a luxury bag like Gucci, by returning other things you've bought; does that maybe say, you can't really afford Gucci?
None of this is any of my business, except when you throw it out, you invite comments. but, NOMB.
As for QVC, if you're so unhappy, for goodness sake, leave it in your rearview mirror! You'll feel better.

I've seen you post that you had received something long after you quit buying because of the last letter you got? You knew what would happen here and yet you posted again anyway. What do you want people who just feel sorry for you? You've been slamming them ever since.
Personally I call baloney on your post. Why does everyone who get the letter carry on about how much money they've spent, how long they've been a customer?
If you get the letter you are costing them money, they don't care if you go elsewhere, they want you to. The letter is a clue, not rocket science.

I've talked to the Q's CService many times, and I think they have the best CS I've ever used. I've always talked to the very nicest representatives, and they've gone out of their way to be helpful in every way. In fact, I called this AM and talked about my defective Mally lipstick. They didn't have any more of the Mally kits. Since I loved the kit, she offered to refund for the defective lipstick. This is not the only time. I've never ever had any bad dealings with CS, only the very best. I've never once had a bad experience and always have been accommodated in one way or another. Over the past 11 years, I've talked to lots of them. I understand they have rules and regulations, but they always try their best. I respect CS and realize they have to follow rules; I wouldn't take it out on one of them when they do it. If I wanted to change the rules, I would go much higher than the rep.

I've had good luck also, but no doubt there are a good share of 'bad' cs people. Hopefully they don't keep their jobs long. However I agree with kachina as far as the OP is concerned. I can just hear "I pay your salary" LOL, you'd be amazed how many people say that.

The OP asks why QVC would send now send yet another advisory letter when she has stopped buying. Yet just a few sentences before that, she clearly said that she kept her account open because she might to buy something.
The OP also says, in reference to his new letter, "Then today I got a letter saying I bought too many items by check which I then cancelled! I never buy by check. I do make a lot of cancellations."
Interesting avoidance of the fact that although she may not BUY products with a check, she has obviously been using check order status to reserve items and then canceling them -- surely in great enough volume to warrant a warning.
OP, cut your losses and move on to other shopping venues. And maybe also think about your shopping habits in general.

OP - you need help with both your shopping habits and your need for attention and drama.
QVC has changed over the years. Some of the sizing is inconsistent. Sometimes quality is lacking.
But I just do not understand why you continually drag up the same issues.
I am reluctant to post as I feel I am giving into your need for attention. Your need for drama and your need to be a professional victim.
You are not looking for solutions or answers - you are simply desperate for something to fill up an emptiness in your life.
You need to get some professional advice and you need to listen to it.
