One owner ago, not only did we have Growth Strategists aka Marketing, we also had People Strategists aka HR.
My favorite was being told they had no 401K.
Boys, please! You're a public company so I can see that yes, you actually do. What's the deal and why are am I not being allowed to participate? BTW, illegal not to offer it to me if I qualify, which I do as a full timer.
Found out five minutes later, they had "Personal Investment Accounts" and my wicked smile let them know the jig was up.
The games corporations play with semantics and attempting to lower their expenses to pay these outrageous salaries. Telling front line employees no when they ask about their entitled benefits in hopes they'll walk away without them because they used the wrong corporate branding word is just disgusting.

For the life of my, I don't know what these top executives, at QVC and other big companies, actually DO that warrant such huge salaries. I get that they want good people, but these compensation packages are out of control.
