This early am i caught Alex with Mally. Now we all know that Mally commands her presentation time. Now just imagine an equal voice in every way fighting for that time. Even her laughter was louder. And ice that cake with what i will call "street talk and complimentary hand/body gestures"--I was speechless.

Mally is part of the "loud" group on the Q (along with several hosts) that I just couldn't deal with anymore. Don't know the need to yell or scream to get your point across.

I've seen Alex 3 or 4 times now, and I have to say she has a very strong personality. I have no idea what her background is, but she's very self-assured, she is not in the least tentative or reserved, the way most new hosts are in the beginning.

You are right - she isn't in the least reserved, but she should be reigned in a bit, and she needs a filter on her voice. I don't hear as well as I once did, but I'm not deaf and I hate being screamed/screeched at. Can't watch this girl. Didn't see or hear her with Mally, as I can't watch Mally with anyone. There's another newby, pretty girl with long dark hair, who has the most annoying nasal twang I've heard in years. The Q is really running me away with some of the hosts. Give me more Katie Magee, Carolyn, Jill, Mary Beth and a few others. I don't want to be screamed at. Life's too short.

Alex doesn't speak in a normal tone, she screams. I find her to be very unprofessional.

Sadly, I am not enjoying any of the new hosts, all for different reasons. Not saying that they aren't nice people. But the Q went for a different segment with 4 of them and I think it is a step down. The 4th, while sweet, has such a shakey voice that I cannot listen to her. The quality of hosts was one area that separated HSN from Q. The hosts were just several steps above in appearance and class. Only the longer tenured Q hosts now show class. They speak well and measured. Perhaps Q is going after the young demographic. I do not think it will be successful because people both younger and older than my 31 year old daughter do not make time for things like the Q.

I also don't ever watch Mally because of the screeching, but your description of the show was priceless! I've seen Alex once and also was not impressed.
Posters say the new hosts need time to learn, and to an extent that's true as far as giving descriptions, filling the time, etc. But even very old videos of Mary Beth and Jill show them as very poised. As as example, I remember seeing Antonella and thinking she was completely unprepared. But she always had such a good personality and it all came together for her.

Alex has a lot to learn I can see them asking her to leave before the final date Im sure she is a doll but just doesnt have what it takes

I just posted earlier that I caught her show in the kitchen this morning and I heard her say we would be baking cakes "up the wazoo" and ended it with a phrase she uses all the time... calling the guest the "bomb dot com." Maybe it's these sayings combined with her loud yelling voice that make me wonder if she will make it. I do think she is very good on the sales specifics of the product (how many are left, colors, etc). I am sure she is still nervous but I read they had nearly 10,000 people apply to be hosts. She needs to own this because it is incredible she was selected as one of the 5. That is a huge accomplishment and I hope she is open to feedback... and hope she stays on as I am sure this is a dream job for her.

@Perkup ~ There is a very seasoned female host that sounds extremely nasally...I always find myself saying "please blow your nose,"...I have a hard time listening to her when she's on.🤧
