If your a host and showing jewelry your nails should look at least (good). I'm seeing dirty looking, cracked, peeling, growing out nails. I turn the channel when I see this. Q should at least make the hosts look neat.

I also think the female hosts should wear a neutral nail color when presenting jewelry. I find garish pinks, etc., to be very distracting. I've watched a couple of jewelry shows on HSN and the hosts never have a color other than a neutral on their nails when presenting jewelry. It looks so much nicer.

When Antonella shows jewelry, I find I sit and watch her garish fingernails and don't even know what she's showing. I remember when they required the hosts to wear neutral nail polish.

Y'all do get bent out of shape at the most trivial things. I've never been ""distracted"" by colored nail polish during a jewelry presentation. I don't even notice the hosts' nails.

It does cause you to wonder, when people who are supposed to be style mavens have nails like shovels or badly need filling. Nancy Hornbeck has the nicest and prettiest hands. Always well manicured and yes, in a pale neutral shade.

I don't ever remember seeing unkempt nails on any shopping channel. I do think Antonella should wear darker colors and not the pink she sometimes wears but her nails are always nice.

I would much rather see the colors of nail polish than the squared off paper white tipped nails some of the women wear. A rounded nail with off white tips look so much nicer and more natural.

I do think that everyone, men and women should have clean manicured nails if they are going to be presenting anything that shows close ups of their hands.

Susan Graver always has lovely, well-manicured nails with neutral shades of polish. Their almond, beige, pale pinks on shorter nails look beautiful showing. I think long nails ala LR, Antonella are not very pretty. Long faux, claw nails just look 80's and don't look clean and fresh.

Funny this should come up. Last night I was watching HSN and the host who was showing jewelry was wearing puce colored nail polish. It was horrendous and very distracting from the jewelry. It's the first time I really noticed polish other than to think ""that's pretty.""

I have not noticed Antonella's nails being overly long, just the Pink that is to light for her skin tone. I have never even looked at LR's nails, I can't get see any further than the makeup and fake tan.
