NUMERIC SIZING....INSTEAD OF DOUBLE SIZES

I would like to know what QVC customers think of going back more to "Numeric Sizes" instead of combining TWO SIZES together!  For instance, I am between a Petite 12 to a Petite 14 and if I go up a size to Petite Large it is a size 14 to size 16 which is way too large for me and I have to return the item.  When a designer makes a "Numeric Size" in a Petite 14 it usually fits perfectly.  What do you all think?  I would love to hear your comments!  Also, QVC please make more "Petite Tops" as the "Sleeves and Length" are much too long...

@SweetSpice.  "Bridge sizes" meaning they span two are more sizes are usually just used when a garment is loose and sort of flowy and not designed for a close precise fit, unlike the more fitted and exact numeric sizes.  The numeric sizes naturally fit better but there are times when you don't necessarily want a close fit.

Re: NUMERIC SIZING....INSTEAD OF DOUBLE SIZES

Personally, I think even numbered sizes are all over the place.  It's why I hate buying clothing online.  Shoe sizing seems to be much more standardized.  Only rarely, after reading reviews, do I need to buy anything but a 7 1/2 M.

Buy your normal QVC size?  What if you don't know your normal QVC size?  Seems every time I buy something according to the sizing chart's measurments, I end up with something too big.  It's not just QVC though.

And QVC doesn't sell true petite clothing.  It's only shorter inseams or length. I can wear regular sizing in tops, but I really need a true petite in pants to avoid the dreaded low-hanging crotch.  Probably why I wear mostly jeans.  They start out with a shorter rise.

I prefer the lettered sizes to numbered. I have been shopping from QVC for decades and I always know what size to order and what to expect. I find their sizing to usually be consistent. I don't want to 'mess with success'.

I think items with numeric sizing requires additional inventory. That's something QVC seems to be cutting back  on. It's understandable for a better fit, but perhaps not as cost effective if trying to sell to the masses.

I'm definitely a no on numeric sizing, especially for tops.

I like S, M, L sizing rather that 10, 12, 14.  Those sizes fit me better because there seems to be more leeway in the garment--JMHO!!!

I don't particularly like garments with double sizes like S/M. Most of those items are drapey or oversized which isn't my style. I can live with letter sizes in tops and dresses, but I prefer numbered sizes in pants and jeans because they are usually a better fit for me.

@Icegoddess   I agree with what you posted!!! QVC has no normal sizing.  They are all over the place, at least with my experience. And the petites are not real petite, they are just shorter sleeve and hem. I think it all depends on the factory where the clothes are made.  I really , really miss the old QVC days of standardized sizing. Never failed, wore same size in any brand of QVCclothing. They had all clothes made alike in sizing.  Then after 2000, with overseas factories things changed sizing wise.

Re: NUMERIC SIZING....INSTEAD OF DOUBLE SIZES

QVC decided that in jeans/pants a 16 is the same as a 16w.  IT IS NOT!!!  A 16 is snug and an 18w is huge!  I can no longer buy jeans/pants from them unless it comes in XL which is between a 16 and 16w.
