Just a comment here.

Looking at the clothing I've ordered during the last year, my return rate is about 50%. Too much, and I'm not happy about it.   Looking at the other items I've ordered (kitchen and household items), no returns.  The problem is fit.  Even with the size chart, it's tough to choose a size.

And the sizes are inconsistent.  That is maddening.

That's why I don't buy clothes from Q. It costs to much if you have to return an item. You are out shipping costs to you, shipping back to Q. Does not take long for that to add up. I saw several items I like in their new C Wonder line but I'm not buying because I'm not sure of size/fit.

Return shipping is really a killer; I looked at my returns since I started buying here and I have too many also, although many were before they changed the shipping fees.

Guess the Q does well with sales but I'm going to buy sandals at Nordstrom or Zappos because of the shipping issue here.

Re: My return rate

[ Edited ]

Actually, my return rate was probably over 50%. (It was a quick check.)  Multiply every return times $10, and it's sobering.

Inconsistent sizing happens everywhere.  Think about how many items you return to the rack when you try on in a store, probably over 50%.  But it doesn't cost $10 per item.

My best luck has been with Denim & Co. t-shirts.  Otherwise, I just cannot get it right!!

People say they are DONE!  No more QVC shopping!  I won't say that, but for clothing, it will take a while before I order another item.  Have one to return now.

If your return rate is 50% or more in a certain time period, you can expect a scolding 'too many returns' letter soon.

Years ago, I received one when I had a 40% return rate, about the same time that sizing became so inconsistent.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I have long expected a letter for cancellations as I sometimes think I want something so much and rush to order before I see it presented then cancel because it didn't look like I thought it would.  I'm not making light of what I do but I do it because stuff sells out so fast sometimes.  QVC says it causes a problem on the order lines, I guess the automated system tries to figure out where that order # is.  I don't return much as I don't order a lot of fashion because of the sizing consistences in most lines. I have escaped the dreaded 'letter' so far.

I generally stick with two brands of clothing - Linea by Louis Dell Olio and GILI.  I have found my appropriate size in both brands.  When my orders arrive, I am pleased.

I rarely return clothes.  I study the measurement guide before ordering and haven't had any issues.  I return home decor items.  Many have been defective.

It's not worth it to me to pay the original shipping and then the return shipping just to try on a garment.  I won't ever buy another clothing item from QVC.  I thought for sure that they would have gone back to the old way of shipping by now.
