I use most of the rebate sites and make my decision of which to use according to who is giving the best rebate.  I have had problems on all of them with tracking, and I am very careful to click through to the website from the rebate site, not leave the retail site, and to not already have the item I'm going to purchase in my cart--that messes things up sometimes.  Thank goodness once you contact customer service on all the rebate sites, the problems are usually corrected with a little hoop-jumping, but yes...I hoop-jump.  I am retired and have the time, and I might as well have that money as them!

There are some retail sites that seem to always have trouble with certain rebate sites, so I avoid using the two together.  For example, I have trouble with ebay and Retailmenot and Vitacost and Topcashback (the latter was the only one that was never resolved--read the fine print later and saw that I had used a code from Vitacost, which negated the cash back--other rebate sites aren't that picky).  Have had issues with QVC and Mr. Rebates and currently have an outstanding ticket with HSN and Topcashback--have read the fine print on that one, and there is no reason it should have been declined, so here's hoping on that one, since it is $6.

My favorite rebate site with little to no issues or issues are readily resolved, and you can be paid monthly if you have $10 of rebates is Mr. Rebates.  I find myself using topcashback more, though, because it has better rebates and will offer cash bonuses to make a purchase from their site.  For example, yesterday if you went through TCB, they gave you a $3 bonus plus was offering 22% cash back at HSN!  I only bought two clearance items equally around $30, but my total rebate from them including the bonus is over $10!

Make sure you always read the fine print on these rebate sites.  TCB says 12% today but if you scroll through the whole offer, clearance is 1% and electronics are 3%.

That has never been a problem for me. I always place things in my cart and then go to the 3 rebate sites to see who has the best deal.

I check for the best rate prior to placing things in my carts, I have read placing items in the cart before you click onto the rebate site can cause the rebate not to post.

@amyb

If you use topcashback currently how long does it take for a payout?  When I used it a few years ago it took about 4 months so I stopped using it.

@rockygems123

it is taking 17 weeks for payouts for qvc and hsn.

Re: Mr Rebates & Rakuten today

I used TCB twice yesterday, two purchases within minutes of each other on QVC. One tracked, the other didin't. sigh.

And I finally went into my QVC account and TCB account to see what in recent past has not been tracked and had to fill out claims for them.

Trouble is with this system, which is already too time consuming to try to get a flippin' 10% etc discount...is now, in that claim form, it ONLY let's you choose certain dates that "show" you went through them, and you can't put another date that DIDN'T track in that form. BUT...THAT is why you are putting in a claim...a certain date DIDN'T track! Sigh. I had to email them....again.

Too much trouble....not sure if this doesn't sort itself out soon that it's worth it. This only just started happening to me on TCB. At first it was working almost everytime for me. Only once in the past I had to put in a claim and it was resolved easily.

A shame because with free shipping and TCB discount I wanted to buy more this weekend on Q...get a few things on my Wish list.
