All the OP has to do about the things she is ranting about is either change the channel or turn the set off altogether and go read something. Easy peasy solution to the rant.

Rants are okay, sometimes it's just good to get it off your chest.
On the other hand, I totally agree, don't sweat the small stuff. Let it go and move on. Life throws so much at all of us you have to sort through to get what means the most to you.
And then when life does toss that curve ball when you least expect it, you find no time for the small stuff. That medicine ball is way bigger and heavier to manage than that ping pong ball. You need everything you've got to roll that medicine ball away.
Ms Bear, I cannot imagine what you may be going through but many prayers are travelling your way. No rants in your life, just enjoy ALL that you have.

I think the purpose of the rant was to vent. Venting is healthy, much better than holding it in and raising your blood pressure or getting angry with your husband or being short with someone else for some other reason! A normal person gets annoyed at small stuff, sorry, that is the way it is. Yes, if you have bigger issues, then small stuff is not as important.
But let's think about it. Let's say I had a serious disease that affects my quality of life. I am homebound, and watching QVC and other daytime tv takes up a good part of my day. Then perhaps small stuff, like a host's repetitive phrase, or a perceived annoying habit, isn't so small for me, is it? So, maybe those of us on these boards might not be so quick to judge others who come here to vent, but telling them to "change the channel", or not "sweat the small stuff" and have a little empathy. JMHO.

So who's saying those of us who occasionally rant don't change the channel, or not turn it on to begin with...? Though I'm not sure that's exactly QVC's goal... Either way, expressing our point of view both as a vent and as feedback to TPTB serves a purpose...

@steviebI never said anyone did or didn't change the channel or turn off the TV. I suggested it as a solution. If you think that TPTB are reading this thread, in my opinion you are wrong. We are each entitled to our opinions.

@Pearlee always the same old answer from people who disagree with any posts. "just change the channel" What makes you think the OP didn't do that?
I happened to be home last night and so tuned in to IS since regular tv shows are still doing re-runs. I watched the "preview" and didn't see anything that I was all that interested in, so I changed the channel and yes, I wound up watching an old tv show instead.
Tried again with the logo show and didn't do much better. I was happy to see Pat with IM and I did watch that show.
So the OP is entitled to express her feelings - if you like the shows, enjoy yourself, but not everyone feels the same.

Yep @Pearlee, we are... Pretty clearly the moderators ARE reading our posts and by virtue of having seen things change and items addressed, I'd suggest it pays to express our opinions, within reason, as we see fit... Even before the moderators took a more active role on the boards, it was not uncommon for some posters to receive communications from QVC based on their posts and we really don't know what other changes might or might not have been fostered by feedback tendered here... Clearly not enough, but well, it is what it is...

Then you and I clearly have differing opinions on what constitutes "powers that be."
The Mods can relay things on up the food chain but it's a big food chain up to the people who actually make/change policy. So, good luck with posting here something that you want to be changed. Again, my opinion.

I'd like to take this rant thread in a new direction and introduce a new topic. You used to be able to make a change to size, color, or shipping address within a 24-hour window of placing an order. This was excellent customer service and saved me from making returns.
The new world order at the Q is to send all orders to "in process" immediately and restrict making changes completely, even with the help of customer service. If you try to make a change (or cancel outright) you get a "too far in the process of shipping" message.
I advance ordered a sweater over a month ago and saw that it had gone "in process." The shipping address was not the best as it would have to be forwarded. This was on Thursday last week. I tried to make the change and was unable. I called customer service and they informed me that they couldn't make a change as too far along.
So when did this sweater finally ship?
This morning. SEVEN days after I placed my call.
I find it completely impossible that no one could, with a few key stokes, change the address. It wasn't like I was cancelling, I just wanted a different, on-file address.
I think it's a new policy for Customer Service to just say "no" to everything we ask. Once upon a time, QVC was the best. I would say things have changed.
EOR (End of Rant)
