@CalminHeart  I could be wrong, but I think the latest spate of postings is in regard to this updated modification to the forum rules:

The update of this rule allowed the mods to remove a regular Friday post that has been going on for years with apparently no objection.

Sorry, I can't seem to make it larger.

@PA Mom-mom Where did you see this? It isn't in the Standards on the left of the Forum under Quick Links. I FOUND IT. I see it now under Welcome, Get Started. It was never added to the Standards. In the Standards, the discussion has to become controversial to be deleted. I remember seeing something from the moderators a few years ago that it was OK to say things like Seasons's Greetings, Merry Christmas because they were just casual greetings, but don't remember where I saw this.

Nope, I don't see it under the Welcome, just the same old We Heard You spiel.  That's a post.  How anybody who doesn't happen to run across it in whatever forum it's in would know about it I have no idea.

SMEG has great products.  Just bought a pricey

Barefoot dreams sweater (Fashion forum post).

this is my 4th one. Just love how they don't wrinkle and

just throw on , no muss, no fuss.

Be glad when Tx hits Fall. Wish it would rain !

@SharkE You could stand in for my most beloved aunt who aggravated me all the time and we were always laughing!  I miss her so much!

Now I'll have to go look at sweaters!  Thanks to you!  In Oklahoma, we go from 90 degrees to an ice storm! Did that a few years ago and took out the huge oak in the front of our house!  Woman Surprised

It's on the page that lists the forum names. It's 2nd from the top under "Welcome Get Started." For new posters, or those that have questions about what's allowed, that should be the first place they go as it's filled with a ton of instructional information.

The following can be found under "Welcome Get Started" under the Community Guidelines thread.  It links to Community Standards, which should also be read.

"The following Community Guidelines are an overview of the Community Standards to keep great conversations inviting and inclusive to everyone.

You are essential to the community, even if all you ever do is read messages or blogs that someone else has posted. Communities offer all kinds of contributions: posting questions and sharing answers, leaving comments on blogs, voting for ideas you like, or just searching for answers to your questions.

Be sure to read the Community Standards for complete details so you know what to expect and what is expected of you when you're here.

Here are a few of the key areas that you should be aware of before posting in the Community:

  • Controversial topics will be removed – Discussions of a controversial or confrontational nature will be removed at our discretion. The following are examples of topics that generally create a negative dialogue between Community members which will result in removal of the discussion and possible banning: current events, politics, religion, and unkind comments about hosts, vendors, models, or employees. Asking for and giving prayers is acceptable.*
  • Personal attacks are not allowed - Don't attack or insult another Community member. It's not helpful and it doesn't make for a friendly place. This includes calling other members names. Disagreement is no excuse for poor manners and we will not allow frustration to turn into a personal attack.
  • No Trolling - "Trolling" is a big, messy term, but we know what trolls are and we won't tolerate it. If you're abusing good conversations, we will take your comments and posts down. This includes hijacking or taking a thread off-topic.
  • Do not cross-post - Don’t make duplicate posts across different forums — it clogs things up and fractures the conversation.
  • We may lock a thread - If a thread has turned into a non-constructive argument between users, or derailed entirely off topic, we will lock the thread to block further commenting. We will always share a reason why the discussion was locked.
  • Report Inappropriate content - We work very hard to keep conversations friendly, engaging, helpful, and productive - with your best interests at heart. We don’t read every discussion so we ask for your help by flagging inappropriate comments for our review.
  • Moderation decisions are final - We understand it can be frustrating when you do not agree with our decision to close or remove a discussion that you feel is appropriate. However, once we decide a post or member needs to be removed from the forums, the decision is final.
  • Select QVC employees are permitted to post in the forums - If things go off topic or become unpleasant, we may comment to get things back on track before needing to remove the post entirely. We may just want to say hello and that we are enjoying your conversation. All employee profiles include a QVC identification.
  • The Suggestion Box forum is here for you – We strive to continually improve your experience with QVC and appreciate your suggestions. If you have suggestions, or questions, please post them here and we will do our best to respond.

We encourage you to visit often and participate. Ask your toughest questions. Chances are someone has a solution or can point you in the right direction. If you find a solution that works, let others know and pass on your own tips and insights. You might just have the answer someone else needs.

Remember to thank community members who have helped you. Show your appreciation by giving “hearts” to helpful posts or posting thank-you replies.

We want the community to be appropriate, friendly, informative, and fun for everyone. We look forward to your participation!
